This is Flinx speaking as representative of the Baffin communities.
Alexander , I have just returned from a short visite to the Shasta Skyhook,
and as we discussed I asked Pope Wyrdmake and the other high ranking members of the church about your request.
Even if the details will have to be cleared step by step I can confirm to you that you will be welcome in Baffin, and we will find enough space to settle our members and their families if you choose to end the diaspora and return back home.
I will remain with you, travel with you and administer to your needs. Actually pope Wyrdmake has set it quite flatly : I am your contact pope, as he told me personally.
There are a lot of strange vibes in Baffin and the Taus currently, it seems as if gallic ships are getting more and more active, and TAZ might even bee drifting towards a full scale conflict, even if the Pentabarf has not been broken jet. So it seems that the other popes attention is diverted away from the Omegas , even though TAZ has very good contacts to the Coalition. So I do not think it very likely that some pope is interested in buying or leasing Immobilia down under at the moment.
I have seen may a war and have experienced many conflicts in my active times, and have always tried to avoid conflict in my nomadic jears. But it seems this peace is comming to an end. I will not advise you against that move, but as the leader of your people you have a right to get all available information.

Thanks for your interest in settling in Baffin, but we don't care about the status of your worldly wealth, which is the only thing you talk about. If you take lodgings in Baffin what can we expect from you? You should be aware that Baffin is the exclusive residence of the TAZ and a wholly owned system, we don't need lodgers.
We have no idea where your affiliations lie, what your intentions might be once you've parked yer caravan in our back yard, what you're going to do with your trash and what sort of other visitors you might attract. You mention nothing of that.
You'll need to be a whole lot more forthcoming and persuasive, lads. Baffin is not a camp ground. In the meantime, I'm sure Pope Flinx can minister to your needs in your current locale.
I suggest that you don't drop your other lines of enquiry.
Pope Flinx, I would like to thank you from the deepest of my heart for your concern and warm words. We will try to start our lives again in Baffin, if possible.
My brother John Rackham, I honestly see no reason for this hostile attidute. It's even harder to believe that this "diplomatic" message came from the Ambassador's Office. As we have described ourselves in a Sirius-wide message, we are a group of Zoners residing in Star Space Port living a spiritual life while we are initiates in Discordianism. I can proudly claim that we have made zero enemies the last few months but instead we made several friends like the Deputy Elder of the Corsairs, El Comisario.
As for our junk, as you refer to our belongings, we own a small number of Whales and this is what we intend to bring to Baffin. Finally, we do not intend to "camp" but to live there, on a permanent basis and on a stellar station of your choice. Our intentions are to continue living a spiritual life and we believe that this is where Eris wants us to go.

Why no reply before I passed on pope Wyrdmakes message to the congregation ?
I would ask you to explain your stance and your animosity to me, as suddenly showing hostility towards my congregation is more than just unpolite,
it is an affront to me and my congregation.
I would demand you to specify if this stance is yours personally,
or the official stance of the Embassy.

Having had a chat with you in the corridor just now, it seems I owe both you and Mr. Walker an apology, I jumped to the wrong conclusion in thinking we were about to be swamped by a gang of homeless predators, it seems not. Unfortunately I got the wrong end of the stick, Mr. Walker you are welcome to take up residence in Baffin, Shasta's facilities are at the disposal of you and your crew.
As soon as we find a potential buyer for Star Space Port, we'll move our group to Shasta. Of course we will abide with all your regulations, since they do not conflict with Discordianism.
