That char idea is in my mind since 2 or 3 years, since I reached an excellent wikipedia article.
I really would love to see this idea realized. I offered it for free in space in random smalltalks around 7-12 times - all answers were the same: "Too much time needed, Nice, but not for me."

Reasons, why you are should be NOT interested:
You would need a huge lot of time being in space to establish yourself. (If one of your chars is already "very well known" in sirius, perhaps you can "use/change/turn/burn" it for this new RP-idea.
Please expect >500 hours within the first year - 1000 hours would be more handy of course! That are ~ 2-3 hours each day!
If you cannot invest so many hours, just change the thread please.
And it would not be done with only one year for sure. If you will handle this idea right, you will have a lot of fun for years!
Please do not expect any PvP fun from this idea - could happen, but for that you would have to instigate a civil war, I presume. You will interact with many players, act carefully.
It will become a balance on a very sharp blade:
You would - amongst other actions- have to make propaganda/give orders against the local goverment, but you must stay friendly with them in nearly all cases nevertheless.
A huge heap of work - a huge competition.
No income - perhaps some donations, but it would look ridiculous, if you would ask for those. You need to become beloved by all citizens.

I really would try it for myself. But I do not have the time. Only solution would be change my dealer into this char - and sorry, I love my Shop too much.
