As I am always eager to learn how to improve may gameplay for others enjoyment, I'd like to open my characters (and myself) up to feedback. This page is a work in progress, as I intend to add introductory biographies for my characters. All the characters below are closed economy - and are only funded from within their own character's ships.
Many thanks in advance for your critical feedback!
List of Jazzi's Characters: Sian Breacon
- Including "The.Black.Wind" Katya Pimakhova -Dr. Thorn Hana Ken
I love your RP Jazzi. You're a great RP and a fun guy to be with! I really need to join you with the Mollys and we need to fly our Nomads again! Keep up the good work!
Basically what everyone before me said. Although i did post here earlier.. that rollback deleted it. You are doing great. Keep up the good job
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
You have no idea how long I've been wanting to make this post.
Your accent on Sian Breacon isn't indicative at all of how Irish people speak. I mean, I don't really hold Molly accents to a high standard any more, but your portrayal takes the biscuit. You're currently portraying some sort of weird mixture between a Yorkshireman, a Scot, and with some stereotypical Hollywood 'Oirish' thrown in. It's not quite as bad as when I see people RPing in Kusari/Rheinland/Gallia with broken Japanese/German/French, but since I'm actually from the place, it sticks out like a sore thumb and is at least mildly aggravating.
I hope you'll work towards improving it, and that that feedback is suitably constructive. It's not a major thing by any means, but I would greatly enjoy seeing the accent more accurately represented.
Thank you for the feedback Omicega - I appreciate it.
The aim of the accent is Scottish, not Irish. Sure, most Mol's are deemed to have come from an Irish decent with the accent but there is plenty of space in Bretonia for the others - originally it was going to be Welsh but it was a struggle getting the accent to be portrayed in text as it is predominately intonation and inflections which I find a struggle to write into a word. I speak in the accent as I write but it can be a challenge to get the accent into the text equivalent.
Let me know in PM, only to not clutter the thread, which parts of the accent are aggravating your Irish ears and I'll work on getting those elements out of the accent - as ultimately it shows I'm not doing a good job of what I set out to do -> Very North England/Glaswegian.
