Greetings,
First I'd like to say welcome to Disco.
Interesting concept you have for LoA here.
As a long time agent of S/D (BHG) I hope to have many oppotunities to RP and clash with you faction, it's always nice to have the opportunity to mess it up with Order.
But my post here is concerning GMG and in particular that Stinger you have on your shiplist.
First, please change it from, Civilian ship and anyone can have it to, GMG ship.
About your access to that ship or in case you have any future intentions for the Taiidan ships (Also GMG)
-GMG and the Order share a mutual ally, that being the Zoners, and really our relationship in Disco with Order is great as we ship H-fuel to Omicron Minor. I'd say a friendly atmosphere is shared with the Order and they are kind enough to be ready to assist us with any Nomad/Wilde infestations of the Sigmas.
-LoA it seems have a more aggressive attitude leading Lawfuls to consider them almost terrorist-like.
-Now GMG is a fiercely independant organization, as is evident in the wreckage that used to be the Rheinland Fleet, and we have pride in our ships and the guerilla tactics we use to overcome superior numbers.
-With a proper RP story I can see an Order character using one of GMG's ships, as our relations are fairly good and nearly bordering on alliance.
-If LoA intends to show aggressive hostilities in the Sigmas and to GMG in particular (we are The lawfuls in the Sigmas) I'm afraid that the Stinger would have to be removed your shiplist as our Commandos would ensure that any unauthorized GMG ship not in our hands will have to be destroyed.
-If LoA is keeping Order friendly ties with GMG than perhaps with a little RP, an agreement can be made between LoA and us at GMG for that ship to be used by your faction.
Just trying to help you out in ironing out the details while maintaining GMG's best interests ;)
Well I actually like the idea of the breakaway group that travels around killing Nomads.
But as a high ranking Order leader I don't like the stolen Osiris part obviously lol. But I think we can come to some... agreements and maybe it wasn't stolen?
Either way, I'm really interested to see where this goes so I'll be keeping an eye on you guys.
As for now, if you do have players in space, you are welcome in Minor and 100 as long as you follow the laws and don't commit to any powr struggles with Bs| members.
About the Falcata: As far as I know it is only sold at an outcast base, as well as it's info card reads "latest development of the outcasts", so I think it should be considered an outcast one, not a border worlds one.
About that one:
Quote: The Border Worlds suffer the most from Nomads. As a result, at least one, if not several pilots would come from there. Expecially Outcasts, whom have a jumphole into Nomad space.
You added this to every border world ship, but you forgot that all outcasts are addicted to Cardamine, so there will be no opportunity for them to join another faction, except the allied and addicted ones. But then they would still have to die without regular trips on Malta (The Cardi supplies in their ships will only reduce the effects of the missing cardamine).
Another point is that the relationship between Outcasts and Nomads is a little bit different. They don't suffer from them. So they had no reason to fight them.

so you have decided to shoot down our ships?? Well so be it, you corsair lover vermins! I will see to it that we shoot you down on the spot from now on, as well.

and yes we are addicted to precious cardamine!

And what is your justification for this? I demand an explaination before I recognize your discontent.
As for posts 28-31, Remora, LoA's RP developer, had this to say.
"The Dragons, as I've said, were a side-thought anyway. Loosing those ships from our list of allowable ships is no problem. The list, however, is designed to represent the ships that the pilots of the Legion have. Most of these ships have been gathered through the pilots gained from desertion of the host faction. These people would be from factions that traditionally see lots of fighting against Nomads. I confess to not be very familiar with the outcasts, having almost no personal interest in dealing with a faction whose RP story has them addicted to drugs, however, I believe that they hate Nomads as much as anyone else. As such, I can't see them being any more finicky than the Corsairs in giving ships. In fact, with the Corsair artifact trade being of alien origin, I can see more trouble with the corsairs than the outcasts. However, that might be offset by their increased conflicts with the Nomads. On further reflection, they will probably drop from friendly to Neutral on our RP Diplomacy Status.
As for the GMG, I firmly believe that due to the RP nature that the ships, all the ships, come into legion hands, their commandos would be out to destroy the LoA pilots flying GMG ships. Deserters and Individual Sympathizers funneling military equipment off to a faction of fanatics wouldn't be seen as very positive.
As for Zone of Influence/Zone of Interest, the LoA has -NO- zone of Influence, but an All-encompassing Zone of Interest. They can be found everywhere, but are based nowhere.
As for the Difference between the Legion of Armageddon and the Order,
Where the Order would have an interest in just seeing Nomads destroyed, the LoA, the Legion of Armageddon, feels that humanity will be wiped out in the coming last battle against all things alien, if all things alien aren't destroyed. This includes such things as Alien Organisms, as well as friendly aliens, and all things nomad. Stations where Nomads are studied are likely to be attacked on the principle that they don't destroy the alien.
It's not another Order faction. It's a order cult. It is likely to be outlawed by the Main order and the house navies whose toes will be stepped on ruthlessly by alien interdiction by the LoA. The whole thing needs work, and we would really like to sit down with an Admin and get a Special Roleplay established with one, and then move on from there. The whole list is flexible, as long as the underlying concept is there.
The underlying concept is this:
The LoA are a bunch of nuts who have taken it upon themselves to destroy all things Alien.
The LoA are spawned off of the Order, but have since evolved beyond the order to encompass everyone who has had hostile encounters with the alien, particularly the nomad.
The LoA gain their supplies and ships from sympathizers to the anti-alien cause amongst the order and other groups who have had hostile encounters with the alien, particularly the nomad.
This thing isn't ready yet, we really need to sit down with an Admin and discuss this whole shebang before we get much further, since there is still alien-spawned ship technology that we have to figure out that would slim the list down even more, but that is something for a later date.

My apologies for the tardiness of this repost, but I work two jobs and had to work this morning.
Sorry, I know what you mean when you say the ships would come from everyone's different walk of life, but that just won't work. The Order does indeed pull its members from all over Sirius, but it has to stick to general RP standards in the process. In reality, their one ship they brought from their former faction would be damaged, and or destroyed, and the Order would not be familiar with it, and not be able to fix it. We don't run by the "once it's blown up, it's gone" rule, but allowing such not-Order ships just won't do.
As for Outcasts, they could very well join the Order. Cardimine is sold almost everywhere throughout Sirius, so they could survive. As to how the Outcasts regard Nomads, however? It's a sort of mutual respect, with some having deeper feelings of them as "spirits". The Nomads guard their dead, and don't attack them, so they don't "hate Nomads as much as anyone else".
The BW line actually looks feasible if you're a breakoff group. You operate in the BWs, and your ties to obtain Order tech are gone, therefore the BW line makes sense, as in reality it's most likely Zoner built.
GMG and Order are not friendly, Prowler... We are neutral-friendly at best. The Order are heavily heavily allied to the Corsairs, which we despise. No GMG ships, by the way, guys.
And yes, the Falcata is OUTCAST made. There's no way that will fit.
' Wrote:But as a high ranking Order leader I don't like the stolen Osiris part obviously lol.
Wasn't the original Osiris stolen? I would think a motivated Order member could do it again. But you're right, it would cause a civil war in The Order. (Who wants their battleship stolen?)
As for the new faction, here are my suggestions.
1) Limit the ZoI. The Order and its "son" The LSF violate laws and treaties regularly in defense of humanity and Liberty, respectively, but they do know when to hold back. Don't assume (and I don't think you do) that you can go anywhere in Sirius just because you're fighting the alien menace. Many governments and politicians will be skeptical and afraid of a new, heavily armed, fanatical organization, no matter how noble their goals. Most of Sirius' citizens would rather forget the nomads, and even pirates will have trouble accepting you. Having one mobile base that can go anywhere isn't always that influential. Perhaps you should say "We don't have influence, but we have a mission; to protect Sirius with our small but dedicated force."
2) Limit craft to Order and Civilian fighters and bombers (Your battleship being the exception). Your faction will likely be on the run from lawful craft, so you need a small group to infiltrate, attack, and disappear anywhere near house territory. (That includes Corsair and Outcast zones.) Additionally, Corsair really hate anyone but them flying their ships, and Outcasts won't like you. However, you know how to build Order craft and civilian (This includes Taiidan and the like) ships are readily available.
3) Respond to posts and manage your faction with the same intelligence and tact you've shown before. I really like the idea of an unpredictable faction other than the Phantoms, so good luck. I believe your faction will succeed.
Your attitude while you have been here has certainly dispelled any preconceived notions of your faction being the generic import. Bravo.
I must admit that I do like the idea of your faction.
In reference to Fallout 3, there is a faction in there known as the Brotherhood of Steel, since you have played it, you will know what I'm talking about. Now, there's an offshoot of the Brotherhood that does not agree with some of their practices, namely protecting the civilians from the Super Mutants, and as a result, they've broken off from the Brotherhood and formed their own order, the Outcasts.
I see this as a parallel to what you are forming here.
I would like to know more about:
1) The Differences between your faction and the order.
2) Your limitless ZoI.
I would also like to make a few edits to your shiplist:

You are probably interested in why the shiplist is so strict. I see you not as a more liberal part of the Order, but a more conservative offshoot that thinks that the Order isn't doing enough.
The Order has done a lot to combat the threat from the Nomads by uniting other factions against them, and I think that you would be more interested in striking direct blows to the Nomads.
For example, the Order has wasted, achem - spent - massive resources on assisting the Corsairs build defenses against the Nomads in exchange for shipyards and etc...
Allow me to state this: Your limitless ZoI will not fly.
Hmmm... That rhymed. Do nomads rhyme? Guess they do now.
EDIT: Zone of Influence and Zone of Interest are essentially the same. Trust me, it will not work out.
If you want to destroy all that is Alien that will cause problems witht he Order itself. We have research facilities and I command a research vessel that is filled With nomads, nomad brains, a power cell and bhg prisoners. We study the Nomads to understand them better and gain a foothold in our war against them. The Zoners have this, Liberty has research facilities, Bretonia, everyone. You might see some problems headed your way. Unless you can cut some deals which is possible.

you should probably read and understand the rules before you try to recite them. You certainly may post in the faction request forum before you request to be official. Its step 3 in the process, step 5 is paying the 500 million. Please be more constructive in your criticism.
