I admit there was a weird error on my hosting. Somehow the larger part of the file got cut away after I've downloaded the mod for server. I don't know yet how is it possible, and what should I do so this won't repeat.
Right now a correct version was uploaded to cyrodiil.net hosting, so the primary download link should work.
Check file size if you have doubts: it should be 27028305 bytes.
It happened to me too, quite a few times.
Its due to an error in the transmission. The server thinks that the file transfer was completed so it ends the connection. It's... a weird error...
Or the connection is cut for some reason, so the server didn't receive the complete files. It closes the archive thinking it is complete.

You see, I did successfully downloaded the mod to install it serverside. So, for some short period of time (maybe half an hour) the correct version of the file was available, but later was reduced in size 3 times. Mysterious.

Well, now that I have the mod, I can't get on the server. First I downloaded it from Prometheus's website, and opened up Freelancer. I clicked "Multiplayer", then "Yes", then "Internet", and it took me to the Loading Bar screen that you get just before it gives the list of servers. That's where the problem occurs. The bar stops moving, the background noises stop, and my computer freezes up, leaving my only escape to be the power button (Ctrl+Alt+Delete and all that doesn't work, either). Then, seeing as Igiss fixed the download on the main page, I deleted the version I got from Prometheus and installed the "official" version. Same problem. I then reverted back to the 4.80 Beta 2 mod, and everything worked out fine; I was able to get to the list of servers and such. So this seems to be a problem with 4.80, at least on my end. I would attempt to enter multiplayer without any mods on, or even just re-instsall Freelancer itself, but seeing as I don't own a real copy of the Freelancer CD, I can't do that. Any ideas?
Very strange that it happens, most probably corrupt Freelancer installation or a mod that wasn't properly deactivated. I can only suggest to deactivate Discovery again and install SDK 1.3 or 1.5 from TLR. Then try to repeat activation.
