[FP11 Conflict] To: Friends and allies of Zoners Subject: The Core

Hello everyone -

It seems our terms provided t' the Core for a peaceful solution has been denied. I have attached a copy of the transmission for your viewing.

We hoped that the Core would be willing t' at the very least negotiate some of the terms, but instead, no attempt has been made for peace, and instead the Core have decided t' declare war on the Confederation of Freeports. Which I find ironic, as the Confederation is comprised of many Zoner organizations, including the OSI, the TAZ, the IRG, and various other Zoner entities and persons. They even have gone so far as t' offer Zoners "Omicronia citizenship", yet deny them at the same time.

With this statement, the Core have effectively declared war on all Zoners. I hope that this conflict does not spread past the Delta system, but we must be prepared for anything.

A troubling thought indeed, but we will keep attempting peaceful solutions despite their warmongering. As mentioned t' the Core, we have no interest in war. We do not want more lives lost, Zoner or otherwise. But as you can see, that future may not be possible.

To all Zoners: I URGE you t' not act offensively towards the Core. We do not need t' give them any more reason t' shoot Zoners or increase their hostilities. Too many lives have been lost already. We do not need more t' be lost due t' the antagonizing nature of the Core.

To our friends and allies: We thank all of you for your help throughout this conflict. Your escorts and defensive fleets have saved hundreds of lives, and as much as I wish this conflict would end in peace, that is still a far off hope. As long as able, any defensive fleets you can provide will have the thanks of Zoners everywhere.

As such, we have two comm channels available for response. One for Material aid for Freeport 11, and one for documenting the atrocities that the Core have conducted against us.

Greetings, Finn,

I can only express my disappointment in things at this time. I get reports back from Commander Cook about things there and to say the least, it's troubling. The only thing I get of all of this is that someone got angry about the theft of some cigarettes? If it's cigarettes, shoot, I'll bring a cargo load full from Gallia to make them go away if that's what it takes.

To have my own Enterprise threatened.....more than once....is also troubling. I WANT to pull my assets out of Delta but to do so only reinforces the Core's resolve. I guess everyone to them are criminals since they've done an excellent job in isolating themselves from everyone.
I wish I could offer solution but I'm at a loss for one especially when someone I contracted to assist in the removal of injured was destroyed. He is now a patient on [MFE]Med.Force.Three but doing OK. I'll keep supporting things as best I can and through the only way I know how.....with humanitarian aid and medicine.

Subject: Our stance and plan of action.

Finn McCool and those within the Confederation,

I am the Curator of Battlegroup Auxesia, a group by now you have heard of, as we were rather heavily involved in the events that shook Omicron Delta. Be it escorting the incoming relief convoys, to directly combating Core forces, we did everything in our power to assist.

However, in the later days of the conflict, our limited resources became over-extended, and we had withdrawn from the Omicrons to recuperate and repair what we have. As unfortunate as it is, we can no longer provide direct support in opposition to the totalitarian paramilitary force that has seen fit to assault the Zoners of Omicron Delta. We cannot afford to keep the few assets we have in direct combat for such a prolonged period of time. Do not let this dissuade you from our future involvement in opposition to the Core. Interdicting their more centralized operations still occurs, as well as skirmishes during our trips into uncharted space.

Furthermore, I will notify our Logistics division to aid in the movement and escort of supply ships. Expect to hear from them soon.

The outcome of peace talks is not surprising. The Core do not seek peace, they seek control. You cannot talk them out of such. Stand strong and hold your ground, for they will not cease their hostilities.

Dear Finn McCool,

Thank you very much for taking the lead of the management of the Omicron Delta crisis. That is unfortunate the Core refused your terms. However, I am not surprised, this story smells like hell since the beginning.
Special thanks also to all who contributed in some way to the security and/or the repair of Freeport 11
I've brought some supplies last week but I am now stuck in the House worlds to finalize some business'. Among other things I am acquiring a large transport for passengers. If desired it could be used to evacuate wounded people from Freeport 11 to omicron-74 or farer. Unfortunately, I will have to stay two more weeks in the Houses before coming back to the omicrons. Until this time, Alex Mush, another Seraphim, will be around and supporting Freeport 11. For now I wish you best luck.
