It'd help to specify your qualms so if there is anything worth of note it can be worked on, thanks.
We really need an active, involved admin like Jax. He would go out of his way to make mini events every second day to promote activity. The thing is, players have gotten so used to these events that they do not want to log for anything less, they want someone to provide this burst of activity for them to partake in. Try it.
Plop a nomad base somewhere with a few bil HP and let everyone gang up on it. Announce it ingame, on the forum. You know - the works.

Galileo could be one of them, but instead of a pvp base conquest i think it will be more beneficial if there was a trading race..bring x amount of materials to upgrade your pob while others will prevent you from doing that with force
Other systems that may be conquerable without being an issue to the main storylane would be: o-5,o-9,o-41
eligible factions would be corporations/zoners/junkers/freelancers and not the houses itself(ergo it could not enforce its laws)
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..
Maybe this feature would be nice for Official Events instead. I mean, they already are predetermined right? That would just give players more than one reason to fight.
Otherwise, I don't really see the devs changing base weapons n s*** every 45 minutes. It'd be a complete waste. It's a good idea, nice overall, so limited as in Official Events only would be more than acceptable.

Yeah exactly, was also one of my proposal. Could also be implemented on Official Events. Remember where it says "X Many Ships destroyed" etc. Instead you'd have "3 Weeks left until Conquest is over" or something.

Alternatively the staff could just proceed with the realization of already proposed events by faction leaders, such as the Nauru ones, or Reclamation. Bit more massive stuff than random 1-day events with little RP background, but hey, a bunch of the work is already done for them, all we need are those admin powers to make things real.

Planning to request such for a possible future event series based on Reclamation if it goes well, but if stuff (staff) goes as fast as it currently seems to, I may as well just not bother at all.

I state the reasons why it's a terrible idea, from 4 years of experience in a conquest mod, and people who have no experience of conquest (and thus think it's a great idea) shoot me down.
And for the record, that mod died because of conquest. Everyone left because of people exploiting the system and big factions nuking the small upon creation.
But sure. You're right here.
