@marauder:
You say that "we should not be pestering about it until things get sorted..." and advise
"we stop posting about lag it'd let you concentrate on dealing with the more important stuff".
It's not just about lag. What could be possibly more important than game stability?
Maybe you dont like to hear about server issues.
I bet Wolfpack doesn't like to hear about it too, and perhaps more than you.
It would be waste of time contributing information/help/donation if one was only concerned about himself instead of the community as a hole.
On the contrary, marauder. But I guess this is such sensible topic...
Shall we end it then?

Nice to know its not all about hardware.
I'd gladly take some notes when I get issues in-game to help you track the problem.

Okay guys.
Yes, i do get annoyed, but only when people push the issue. I've been aware of some problems for quite some time. What annoys me even more than this is when people are pushy about when I'm gonna be able to fix it. This is a purely volunteer job here, and subject to my availability when I have free time.
As far as game stability... server issues == game stability, especially in multiplayer. When the server is laggy, the game is unstable and almost unplayable. I *DO* want to know when there's lag, and who's on, but I don't want people running up vague assumptions as to what is the problem, and how to fix it without knowing *ALL* of the details. There are client side details, which only *YOU* guys will know about. However sever side details, which can speak louder than client side (especially with all the logging tools I make use of here) can really change the perspective of the problem.
That being said.. I can safely say I now have quite a bit of free time for the next 2 weeks as I just finished my semester in college. I have a 2 week down time before the next semester begins (complete with Accounting I and "Database for Windows" (I hate MS Access with a passion, but oh well)) so I'll spend this time working up solutions.
Until then, please continue reporting lag, but please... do not jump to conclusions as Igiss, Korrd and I are already attempting to track the problem.

21 players on ATM. Lag sporadic. In Omicron Minor all nomad and Oders ships froze in space for several seconds. I passed thru the jump hole 6 times before I was able to use the worm hole. Seems to be worst when numerous players on. I have not had much lag beofre now.
Wolf: This post is at the time of the lag so you can check player list.
BabyDoc: Large Train
DragonKnight: Liberty Assault Frigate
Shadowen: Albatross Frigate
[MiD]The_Enforcer[Ace]: Rheinland bomber
[DJC]The_Kraken: Heugenot Cruiser
where i was on there was 26 people on, i couldnt dock with anything,i went straight through a battleship, fighters froze for 3minutes on beyond, large trains and transports would just sit and spin, weapons did absolutly no damage on frozen fighters etc....
My 'Unknown' Characters
Baldomero[TBH] - Titan
Baldomero.B[TBH] - Praetorian (Planned)
Baldomero.J[TBH] - Private Cruiser, Named the Hezamorph (Planned)
Baldomero.G[TBH] - Good Ole' Rusty. (Corsair Gunboat)
I've been watching the people that join based on when the lag kicks in and so far i've noticed it starts to lag when Max-II logs on, I could be wrong about him being the one causing the lag, but this is just what I've noticed over the last couple days. I'll keep watching when the server comes back up. hopefully we'll be able to figure it out and fix it
Wolf and I think that the lag might be caused by old versions of the large train.
I logged in with my Large train (i bought it back at 4.76 version), and the server went to hell. Lag was huge. I log off, and the lag was dramatically diminished.
When wolf entered the server with his old train, server went to lag-hell again, but after he changed char, server lag diminished...
So all players with trains aquired before 4.80 FINAL should rebuy the large train.
