At 18:15, a large-scale Libertonian capital ship fleet was spotted entering Hamburg by our border probes and patrols, making their way to planet Hamburg under a few minutes. I myself received the distress signal at 18:20, immediately transferring myself to Hamburg in a Snubnose-class bomber craft.
Several other pilots were already present, eying a whole swarm of cruiser-class Navy vessels, standing ready to commence a siege at 12 clicks range from the planet. As Generalleutnant Drum arrived with a few other bombers on her wing, I ordered the assault before the hostile capital ships were in planetary range.
The Liberty fleet consisted of mainly cruisers, I counted five siege cruisers and four assault battlecruisers during the raid, backed up by a sole fighter. We managed to weaken and destroy their strongest vessel, the LNS-Nevada*Brightstar before getting into planetary range, with our heavy antimatter bombardment and the so-called "sniper" tactic.
As soon as the first target was down, our scanners lit up once again, this time indicating bombers approaching from a nearby asteroid field. As they got closer, Red Hessian Army transmitters and vessels flying under rebel colors could clearly be made out, and the incoming marauders opened fire at the Liberty fleet as well.
The antimatter cannons of our bomber wings tore through the Libertonian capital ships like paper. Without a loss from our side, we managed to down all Liberty capital ships but one, ironically labeled as LNS-Fearless, which fled the scenario. Needless to say, other vessels attempted fleeing as well, but I gave orders not to let any of the intruders leave alive.
We did a swift and effective retaliation to the Liberty malefactors attempting to pose an assault on our Vaterland. The enemy was pushed back, we were victorious without suffering a single loss (even though the Hessians lost only one bomber to a pulse burst). I debriefed the soldiers present whilst giving orders to ignore the Hessians and let them return to their base, given the fact that they assisted us during combat.
For the sake of simplicity, here's a list of our pilots on the field and the targets we (with the unrequested assistance of the Hessians) downed:
