I know that weapons dealers perform a function on this or any server - but at the same time, as someone who's had characters out in the boonies, suddenly finding a wreck that I didn't know was there - and seeing a player suddenly show up (logged on from F1'ing off), loot the wreck, and then disappear (F1'd back off) while I'm fighting off a crapload of NPC's...
Besides that, finding a weapons dealer anywhere but a fast dock from a base is a rare thing.
Of course, as Xoria mentioned - they're just like anyone else, and you can freely pirate them if you're unlawful. I'd say go for it - if nothing else, that'd give us a NICE bounty to collect when it gets posted on your head. :P
Win-win eh?:)I'm aiming for fun first. Second, a reason for the participants' Xenos to have codename loadouts, if they choose so.

I've got to agree that they are a fair target. Just because their cargo is worth a fortune, doesn't give them any special right to avoid piracy. If you can get them, do it. It may not be nice to lose your entire stock, but if you're worried about that happening, you shouldn't be a weapons dealer in the first place.
As an RP idea, this is great, but the consequences (ginormous bounty on your head, never being able to buy from a dealer again) can be countered by sending the dealer cash AFTER the dastardly deed.... that way he's had some enjoyable (albeit in retrospect) RP AND shifted a load of codes.
If the Dealer knows that he will get paid, then he might just play ball and move his ship off the mooring point, allowing the whole thing to happen...
