Don't take the mine situation too literal, it was an example. I'm not trying to say pods should be destroyed or captured, I'm just noting that not all things can be done alone. But for the sake of fair play, if allies were present at the incident, and that they live, that evidence should be valid.
Oh forgot this part... Well this is why Ship AI's exist, Think of iron man and how he's designed an AI named Jarvis which he can talk to in combat and even get him to send people messages or call them. Are you saying that this kind of AI doesn't exist in freelancer which has technology far more advanced? Well I suppose the AI would be vulnerable to a NEMP bomb but it's not like you carry one of those in your back pocket ^_^
