Godric Edmund,
Your introduction has been rather brief, and I was unable to find any previous records of your exploits around Sirius. In short, I do not know you, and am therefor hesitant to simply take you in. If you intend to fly under our banner, I recommend you acquaint yourself with some of our members - a good way to do so is to simply fly guard or escort for any mining parties, or join convoys, either as escort or hauler. If you are endorsed by one or two members you should soon be welcomed here.
Anthony Michael,
While I understand your weariness of continuous conflict, I do hope you are not attempting to desert the Bretonian Armed Forces and seek refuge among the Guild. The Guild, for all it's bases on the Bretonian side of this conflict, will act in full compliance with Bretonian law. However, if you can legally leave the Armed Forces and wish to work an honest wage as a miner, I won't deny you that chance. I myself have followed that path... But be aware that with all the piracy around most large-scale mining operations, it is not exactly a safe job for a young parent. I can offer an alternative: There is a need for additional workers on both the Cardiff mining facility and on South Shields, which you may be interested in.
Provided you can legally leave the Armed Forces, you are welcome to join us.
Jack Henderson,
I see several potential issues in your application. While we would certainly welcome those escaping out from under the BMM yoke, you indicate having been, for all intents and purposes, an unaffiliated mercenary group, hiring out to miners for scout, escort and guard duty. The Mollies, despite their rough nature, are generally not hostile towards the Guild. We have assisted the Mollies to a degree in the past, and with the current armistice between the Bretonian Armed Forces, and them, we see no reason to change this. We do not challenge the Mollies claim to a one million credits mining fee (per miner, per haul at most - if another Molly demands an additional license, indicate payment is made to the one who you were first taxed by), since they will in turn keep the system clear of Corsairs, and assist us if engaged by unaffiliated pirates. Personally, I do not want trouble with them, and if your intent is to start such trouble, you will find your stay in the Guild short. As for restricting mining operations... The Mollies lay claim to the westmost field, dubbed the Arranmore ore field, as far south as the jumphole to Omega 49. IMG miners are not welcome there, and we've chosen to respect that. The fields most often worth by the IMG miners are the eastmost, and northeast field. We share these fields with the BMM miners. If a Molly denies us access to either of these fields, please relay this to the guildmaster and we'll take care of that ASAP. The Mollies share our distaste for BMM's business practises of making a profit over the backs of the workers. Although their path was more violent then ours, a large portion of both our and their ranks have their roots in ex-BMM worker families who simply had enough.
You also most likely, in your time as a mercenary, worked to secure BMM assets in transit. While the Guild has ceased outright hostilities towards BMM a long time ago, there is still much resentment for their actions that have led to the Tau conflict. As a result the Guild's directive is to not actively work with BMM assets. We don't protect or escort them, even for a fee. BMM rarely employs any form of security itself, so it's miners are largely dependant on the Bretonian lawful forces and independant mercenaries - such as you yourself have been.
If you can work with the guild policy of not creating (too much) trouble with the Mollies, and understand our restrictions towards cooperating with the BMM company assets, then I see no reason to deny your application.

Thank you for your response, my initial enlistment period was four years then I was offered permanent position within the BAF, as I have served twenty years I have been giving the right to discharge at own request or as we call it D.O.R of a date of my choosing, so I am able to join you company legally at any time. As this mining is a new factor to me I would welcome your support in what I am to do and how I am to go about it.
Thank you for your time.

Honourable Director Sanders,
first let me express my sincere gratitude for your answer.
Seemingly, my information file on the diplomatic ties in the Dublin sector were out-dated and are in dire need of being updated. I would be extremely thankful if I could get a complete file that shows how the Independent Miner's Guild deals with other fractions, especially those that appear sometimes "difficult" in open space, lots of money, no evidence, no witness encounters - you know what I'm talking about.
I am not looking for trouble and it is no big deal to put aside personal political points of view if it opposes Guild politics.
So I respectfully ask for a way to get the information about diplomatic ties and troubles that I need to make a correct decision, not only concerning Dublin sector diplomacy but also the Bretonian-Kusari situation since I was caught suddenly in the cross fire today and - being a Bretonian born citizen - found it hard to determine the proper "IMG way" of dealing with the situation.
About my life:
Well I was born on planet new Berlin was my parents lived and they worked for Independent Miners Guild (IMG). I had a fall out with my parents at the age of 18 and to punish them in my own way I applied for a job with Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM).Over the next couple of years I witness some major indiscretions within BMM that and being home sick I left there employment and headed back to new Berlin. I then become a gun for hire mostly escort duties for the individual transports lacking adequate defensive weapons, but I quickly realised how lonely I had become out there by myself and also how I really wasted my time with BMM when I should have been working with IMG like my parents always wanted, so this is the reason for my application I feel I would be of value to you as an escort pilot.
I look forward to your reply sir.
Jack Henderson to IMG Central Command, referring to your kind answer some days ago:
Sorry, I've been really busy, but here is my reply:
I managed to get my hands on some of the necessary diplomatic files and after studying the more complicated and thus interesting areas (especially Dublin and Tau23), I think that it will be a nice challenge to work there for IMG as a security adviser / mining assistant / sensory anti-piracy outpost.
Taking a closer look at the situation, a little extra security can only be a good investment.
Yours sincerely,
Jack Henderson

(OORP: do I have to mark my name with IMG tag, or is it an option? Are there things I should need to know about IMG membership, except how to behave ingame, which I already know. =) )

Mr. Woodland,
I believe you are confusing another application for a reply. Due to some recent troubles with new recruits, we cannot at this time accept new applications. Mr. Henderson was the last one to be accepted prior to this reclosing for the guild core. Our apologies, but sorting out a mess in the Omega systems before it escalates into a bloody conflict is going to have our priority - we must look after the guild members. You are free to associate with our guild members and familiarise yourself with the way the Guild works - that will speed up your acceptance if and when we can accept new members.
// IE: Feel free to work with IMG| as an IMG independant - it's how I started out myself. When you're already part of the team, the application becomes more a formality
Mr. Henderson,
While carrying a guild core transponder (IMG| tag) is optional, know that you will only be able to identify yourself as a core guild member if you brandish this transponder. It is recommended you do carry it - if only for sake of ease in being able to quickly identify who's who.
// Showing the tag identifies you as official faction - if you intend to use your faction status you have to show it. If not, it's optional, but we prefer tagged characters.

My name is Zod Mallbourne. I'm sending this transmission to the IMG Recruitment office. I would like to join your ranks and efforts. You see, I have mining in my blood. My father was a miner and my grandfather was also a miner but they didn't want to work in a company so they weren't protected by anyone. That's one of the reasons of their death. I don't want to make the same mistake. I need the protection of a mining company. I know that the IMG has a strong defense wing and that's one of the main reasons I'd like to join.
Now don't think that I won't bring anything. My father gave me the controls of his mining ship and told me how to operate it two days before he was murdered. It's an old ship, left from generations but it does the job.
If you require more details about me, please ask them. I hope I will be accepted.

My name is Felix Rohatyn and I was born on New Berlin and grew up independently shipping supplies all over Sirius in various freighters over that time. I have saved enough to buy larger freighters and now I have an Advanced Train at my disposal. I want to join the IMG because I would like to see more of Sirius outside of the general core houses that I usually ship to, in short I would like a change of scenery and more purpose.
Recently I have begun shipping raw materials from the hardworking miners to the rich markets for IMG independantly and have worked up a reputation with a miner, last name mussle and another fellow shipper who helped me out and forwarded me here although his name escapes me. Im currently running these shipping runs with a IMG tagged and IFF Advanced train, being officially part of the IMG would be fantastic and fulfilling!
