Freeport 11: The Flying Dutchman, now open for everyone!

The Omicrons are a vast and lonely place full of unknown dangers. An undeniable fact every space traveler could verify. Despite those disillusioning prospects, a few outposts of human civilization had been built over time, prime examples of mankind's bold and unbroken pioneer spirit. Now, it's no wonder that this fistful of stations have early realized the urgent need for socialisation in the middle of nowhere. To serve this basic human need, stressed pilots, Freeport dwellers, guests and whatnot can enjoy relatively small, but high-quality establishments.

One of those establishments is the "Flying Dutchman", Freeport 11's first and official bar and coffeehouse. Placed in the middle of the central market, it can be accessed by taking an escalator from the shopping arcade down to the next floor. A retro disco, some more shops and a large area with tables and seats share the same level with the bar.

Charlie O'Conner is the boss and one of the barkeepers in this watering hole which has been in family's hand since its founding. He is a rather serious, taciturn fellow with a grumpy attitude, but makes that up with dirty drinks and a clean counter. Enough reason for almost everyone to become a repeating costumer when visiting the Port.

The menu offers a wide variety of beverages, drinks, liquors, shots and coffees. The prices might be higher than on planets or in House Space, but considering the distance to the next bar and the import costs, it is still justified.

And as colourful and busy the Freeport's visitors and citizens are, you can meet literally every kind of personalities from every corner of Sirius here at this bar. May it be business meetings, shady agreements, gossip, some quality time or a proper hangover - The Flying Dutchman gives you the opportunity to do whatever pleases you!

A GUEST ARRIVES

The closer the descending escalator brought Hans von Goeben to Level 8 of Freeport 11, the more noticable became a monotonous bass hammering in the disco right next to the "Flying Dutchman".
It was the best bar on this station which was still functional, even after the gruesome attacks by The Core. But this one certainly would serve its porpuse perfectly as the meeting spot for the two other guests who would join Hans later on.

It was good to mingle with the crowd again after a week of pure paperwork and cleaning up his ship. This also presented a chance to get back in shape and lay off the shabby lab coat for once. In casual black trousers, black shoes and a comfy white shirt, the scientist approached a couple of empty seats at the counter...the evening was still young and therefore, only a few people were around. He gave his glasses a last polish before sitting down.

"Alright", thought Goeben,"They both docked twenty minutes ago...this means it will still take some time for them to get here...". He ordered a glass of tap water. It would have been rude to start with a hard drink while the others were still on their way. "...hopefully everything goes according to plan."

Wondering through the halls, a seemingly normal person was seen taking a stroll towards the lower section of the station towards arrivals, they were seen dawning a mask with their robes - there was nothing substantial about the robe, the design was nothing out of the usual but yet allowed for privacy to be kept to themselves, but despite this, a level of paranoia remained. They would approach the hangers, entering Bay 4, then began to sloppily lean against the wall, awaiting for a familiar Sabre to land, keeping their gloved hands in their pockets. They were still heavily fatigued from exhausting their psychic 'abilities' within the past hour before they met up.

Sabre with the Outcast cross engraving on board is slowly moving into Freeport's hangar. This moment is so daily and gray that is starting to feel quite depressive. It's not like Delta ever was an entertaining place, but those days feel somehow especially. Enma is getting used to this place once again, but flashbacks from her defection from the Crimson Cross back in 822 are giving chills. Even despite situation is being very different by now and level of threat is objectively low. Anyhow, Enma is looking around, trying to find Sapphire. Raven had a hard time today, Loyola knew for well how does it feel from her own experience.

Noticing the ship land, Raven hurried over to the door, climbing up to it, knocking on the hatch. Even the strength of jumping up in haste was demanding enough.

"Open up. It's me. "

She would glare towards the weapon system of the ship, noticing that the equipment may be slightly suspicious to the security team, beginning to process a way to give her safe cover from security measures - should they try to scan the ship.

[Loyola]

Enma is about to get out of the ships when she's hearing knocking and familiar voice. That is worrying and Enma is hurrying to open and even putting hand on her leg close to a compact black holster. Enma who's being generally paranoid for the last few weeks started to react oversensitively. Moments after the door is open and she's seeing a masked person.

"Uh, Hola, glad to see you not just on communicator screen. ¿Something is wrong? "

Her voice sound calm and dry, keeping on one tone. Enma's hand is still on the holster, ready to react any moment. This even could be a trap, who knows?

Not particuarly being afraid of her, Raven kept her cautions. Her body posture was tired, sloppy, lazy. They weren't too bothered by the fact that Enma's hand was placed elsewhere

"I have the required items to sneak you through security, though we must... "
She nods with her head to her right side, "You know... not be seen by the camera. Scootch back in the ship. "

Raven glares at Loyola through her mask.

"I have the hair gel, the facial cream and the pill for by-passing the body scan - I already took one to conceal my biotics. Naturally, the Zoners raised security due to the fear of... you know. Stuff. Delta. Nomads. Core. "

A light sigh was heard.

"Do you... want me to apply the goods to you? Or are you able to?"

She signals with her hands, but then, within that moment, there was an awkward pause of silence for a good few seconds, her hands suspended in the air. She would drop them as she continued.


"Ehm, nevermind, stupid question. I'm sure you're capable of reading the instruction guide, I guess... "

[Loyola]

Loyola's eyebrows are slowly rising up and eyes opening a bit wider. Her hand is covering her lips for a few seconds as she thinking. Of course she's not on alert anymore, Enma is even smiling weakly.

"Nomads... Core..." She just repeated. "I used to just bribe guards to bypass it. Mind you, guards on the Freeports are not being paid well. But I think I will try this for the sake of experiment, because sometimes it's hard to get on more serious objects."

Enma is taking proposed stuff, trying to realize what are those exactly on the spot. She is not into those minor tricks, at least she wasn't until up now. She used to convince people and gain their trust, which is normally not including bypassing security like this. Well, time to learn new things, learning new things cannot be a bad thing.

"And yes, I will manage it on my own. For now Hans is waiting and our timeframe is limited. Maybe next time."

Now she just grabs all the stuff and going back into a ship. After spending fair ten minutes or more, Enma is getting out again. She even used this temporary ginger dye for her hair. Loyola is walking closer to Raven who was waiting in about 30 meters from her Sabre.

"¿Am I ready to go?"

She scoffs,

"Next time? My, you're a minxy one. "

Raven awaited outside the ship, leaning against it, briefly falling asleep. Upon hearing Loyola's voice, she jolted a little, waking up in shock, "O-oh! Uh... Yeah. " She glares over to her, inspecting her.

"Good... Gosh. You look like a person, it's truly disgusting. It's perfect. " Pushing herself off the ship with a groan, "Well, you can blame the Order for the new set of paranoia, but sure, you can bribe them with a high enough price. Act natural. I suppose. Mmrhh. " Raven grunted a little, finding that talking is becoming more strenuous. "The tablet I provided will last twenty-four hours. I'm just... cautious if they try to investigate your ship and see that it's - eh... Whatever. They probably won't. Just... making precautions." a small exhale was let loose.



She began to proceed towards the insides of the Freeport, going to to locate the bar, occassionally glaring around the scenary whilst making her way to the central zone of level 8. Noticing the atmosphere definitely changing, they found themselves within the entertainment sector, glancing at the guards as she walks by them, entering the doorway to the social zone.

THE BAR

For a moment, she stood there, glancing past the different characters of personalities within the room, trying to locate the friendly scientist. It was tiring to search, everyone looked alike to her. She focused on definitive traits she knew about Hans so far, smoking, alcohol, and of moderate age - but too many people fit into that category.

"By Gaia, barkeeper, I asked why you sell that dishwater for ten damned credits! That has to be a bad joke!" Two man were stooping over the counter, glaring at each other furiously. Both of them still looked nearly the same to Raven, but the one who just shouted had glasses on and owned that certain Rheinland accent...

With a convulsive grin, the owner of The Flying Dutchman calmly replied:" Ya pinchpenny..if you don't wanna buy it here, the next bar is about a lightyear away! And now shut it and pay for the water. Otherwise, Mac will clean the floor with you, puppy!"
Mac was Charlie's older brother and obviously ate his veggies as a boy. Lots of them.
His piercing eyes and a single grunt let Goeben reconsider his attitude. Reluctantly, he paid up. "Ten credits for a simple tap water...don't suffocate on it."
"Fella, water is rare with no ice fields in Delta. And you're sitting here in a bar, and in every proper bar, alcohol is the cheaper than anything else. So stop being a sissy and get something normal afterwards."

Hans' teeth were grinding, but sometimes, it's better to swallow one's pride and calm down. Without further comment, he chugged the most expensive water of his life...

[Cursetantine]

Paul leaned on to the bar and said,"Whiskey,no ice please." then proceeded to turn around and walk to the closest table, putting less weight on his left metal leg. Sits down and lights a Libertonian blend cigarette he rolled in the hangar earlier. He remembers he isn't in the army anymore and held a more relaxed posture. He took a look at the people in the bar, no face was familiar for him. Where was the guy he was going to deliver the goods? He nervously inhaled the smoke from his cigarette and slowly exhaled from his nose.. Where was his whiskey anyway?
