It has been here, it is here and it will be here. What I'm speaking about is GANKING.
It's an easy way to end a fight, just light up that remaining enemy with everything you got, then laugh about it and be happy. Did you ever thought about that one which got ganked? I think everybody was in this situation, when you alone fight the remaining enemies, I will specify it to my last "pleasing" encounter.
One Defiant against one Outcast Fighter, one Scylla and three Stortas. I think you know what I mean: Not fair.
It become (or was already?) a tradition that in Liberty fair fights are not even thought about, just get the blue and get happy. Or mad if another one in the ganksquad got the blue.
During the fight I saw some people engaging each other, there were some Navy fighters against the Outcast fighter. It was a balanced 1v1, then the other Navy fighter got into it. I didn't saw that and told all my intention to get my Gunboat on that one Outcast Fighter. But I saw the situation and turned to one of the Stortas, not interfering into the snub fight, because of one thing: reason.
Ganking is not implemented by the game nor by the mod, it is here because of you: the players.
So I ask you: Please be reasonable and make fights funny, exiting and fair again, not just in Liberty, but everywhere.
(I don't care if there were already those threads or how many of them were there.)
The gank thing is true. But it can not be solved, and it will never be. New players step in the world of Discovery FL and they don't know wgat gank is, so they simply attack for the blue, no matter what. There are also players who want to take part ALWAYS in the winning side, the side where ganks are planned. There are also players, which thinks that they are so popular, so good, and so handsome when ganking a snub with 3 Gunboats and 2 VHFs( yes, I am watching at [LN], sadly).

Just for the record, if your side does it its fine I guess? Always will be the same with the people one side ganks and the other side gets ganked. Side switch from time to time. I've saw a lot cap piling on snubs or missile/solaris gbs going on snubs I could name more ships with stupid loadouts. Just deal with it.

A wise man named Mephistoles once said: You can't gank a ship with turret zoom.
Jokes aside, that's something you can't control. I tried doing it before, telling people to be more tolerant and fair in fights so both sides have fun, but after seeing nobody cared I gave up. If you really wish that fights are more fair, keep that attitude, but this thread isn't going to change anything for 99 out of 100 people reading it. I personally am always willing to give a fair fight and will try to do so if I can, and have low tolerance for stuff like base/gate/asteroid hugging or ganking in general, but the second I see someone on the other side doing one of the mentioned things I won't restrain myself or anyone else in the fight to return the favor.

Snub fights are much faster if both sides are equally numbered and/or skilled as neither side is forced to shieldrun 24/7, though.
Ganking is just an attitude problem. People can't stand losing and will go to great lengths to avoid being blued, even though a fight where both sides have a roughly equal chance of winning are 9001% more fun for everyone involved.
I like Liberty. That is because I don't expect fairplay from anyone, so the PvP looks more inRP than elsewhere (Lawl's Syndrome aside). I'm also not mad if I'm ganked, because I expect to be. If I am, then I've made a mistake.
I also like the other side of it. If I happen to gank someone, they won't track my home address and gank me iRL with a chainsaw. It's Liberty, everyone ganks and expects to be ganked there.
I dislike giving and being given fair fights because it is ooRP and looks awkwardly unaesthetic in an RP server. I would like if this practice could stop, but I know that our community is full of 12 year old catgirls, and I would be emotionally devastated if I hurt their fragile feelings, so I am not doing anything about it.

I do admit that I miss the days entering Liberty practically guaranteed you (as an enemy of Liberty) would be ganked within five minutes. Nowadays I can happily put a Lane Hacker ship in orbit of Manhattan for two hours without being shot by anything.
As long as OFLs keep their grip on their fellow members, I don't see the problem that heavily. It's more a thing with the newcomers and casuals, and vets in disguise. For example, the moment Morosz isn't on the field, you can be sure things go wrong in Liberty. ^^
