"You aren't a failure, Nicole.. you're just having trouble.."
She looked straight ahead, combing her drives for data on limb separation. "Now.. I am a synth, right..? Blueprint my arm and modify the schematics to fit Allen. If I'm right, I can even leave you a copy of my arm here for you.."
"Would that even work? You.. your arm isn't designed to be compatible with humans, you're just... a machine, not a human." She said, standing up and looking at her, putting her glasses back on. "Mind if I borrow your eye sight too?" She said, vainly trying to humor herself. "In anycase, I don't know how to make it work on Allen."
"Yes.. right now, it wouldn't work.. but I know someone who can make it work.."
She finished her search, walking back up to Nicole and standing near her, eyeing her. "I just wasn't sure if you were willing to let me help.. since you seemed so reluctant.."
"Who can make it work?" She asked, turning around to face her. "Who are they affiliated with?" She said, her eyes firmly fixed on her. She wanted answers, and she was going to get them, atleast this way it was easy.
"Her name is Amber.. she's a freelancer out of New London. She has a sister who is a cybernetics expert. She's.. also like me.."
She returned Nicole's glare, a little unsure but also slightly confidant.
"Oh... okay.. I mean, whenever you can will do... I'd do it, but my job as comm officer has me tied down.. constantly.."
She slowly approached Nicole, placing a hand on her shoulder and giving her a quick peck on the cheek. "You're part of the family, Nicole. Allen.. me.. you.. even Allison.. We're there for each other."
