Within the fortress of Omicron Rho, in orbit of Planet Rio, Durban Station stood tall. The bastion of The Core, Durban is the culmination of The Core's technological and military prowess. Fighter and Gunboat wings could be seen patrolling, carefully monitoring the influx of Bisons and Clydesdales ferrying commodities in and out of Durban. In the distance, a Mako, flanked by Threshers, eclipsed the Rho sun.
Under the supervision and instruction of the Guild Master, a new room has been constructed within the compound of Durban Space Station. The room is simple in its décor, containing only the necessary table, chairs, and console for its purpose. The walls, floors, and ceiling, all built thick to prevent any intrusions, match the same dark interior reflecting the austere feel of the room. Only the steady blue glow of the lights provides the room with any sense of color or life.
Secretive and paranoid, William Rotschild has taken every precaution to ensure that the room is completely secure including the removal of all involved in the project. The new Senate Chamber will allow only those summoned by the Guild Master himself to enter, and even then only during a limited space of time. The adjustment to the station has not been marked on any map or blueprint, with the entrance hidden in the depths of Durban Station. .
19-08-825 AS - The Senate, Omicron Rho The Death of Balak L.Ava
With the death of Balak L. Ava came uncertainty amongst the Arcani, although they remained fiercely loyal to the Guild Master and Keepers Willams paranoia haunted him and he was convinced the Arcani would sooner serve themselves if not kept in check. Although this couldn't be further from the truth the Arcani's prowess was enough to concern and force William into action.
A meeting was arranged between Willam and Procurator Jack Daniels to discuss the future of The Arcani Initiative and the death of their previous leader during his visit on Dagger outpost. .

Procurator Daniels, I hope the title is suiting you well. You may already be aware that the Frumentarii Balak L. Ava is dead, leaving the Arcani without a leader. Protocol dictates that a Guild Keeper should replace him but I believe I found a more suitable solution. Take a look at this data pad and the open files. ■■
Christian Albrecht already an established agent of the Arcani has taken the initiative of taking over from his superior had created a rather detailed yet disturbing report around the events that unfolded there. Promoting one of their own will only boost their morale and loyalty, do you agree?

Mind if I smoke in here? Nice place, by the way. Real shady like, I approve. As for this guy, what was his name...Christian Alb...Able...let's just call him Chris. I trust your choice and I'm sure you did your homework. If you say he's legit, then he is indeed legit. Give him the resources he needs and set him loose. If he fails, well we'll cross that bridge IF we get to it.
As for the attack on Dagger, his advice is sound and Scarlet has already rebooted "Ehrgeiz". The battlegroup is up and running and it's better than ever. I've procured a few special ships for it. Namely Waran Heavy Bombers and a few Liches. Battleship Ordine, Battlecruiser Anassi, Destroyer Tyrannus and Cruiser Herschel are also part of it. I'd say we got the place covered pretty well at this point. Oh and then there Battleship Perditrix which also resides in Omega-55. It kinda follows me around, so to say. I'm also working on logistics right now, but we're doing fine so far, there are no shortages of ammo, weapons, food and water. Oh, I've a personal request. I need authorization to order a few very high end toys. Top notch mining machinery. I'll need that kind of precision for the upcoming excavations down on the nearby treasure trove of a planet.

Yes, I do mind, there's no smoking in here Jack. As for my sign off to buy "high end toys" Have you read your job description? it's up to you what you spend the budget on. I feel I must express my disgust in the use of non-APM vessels, these inferior ships don't portray the purity of our organisation but maybe the Omegas require something rougher than our perfect line of assets.
Well, I'll proceed with moving Christian forward into the role and then we will return to discuss our next steps around the potential Sigma-15 conflict.
22-08-825 AS - The Senate, Omicron Rho Sigma-15 tensions
Nathan Archos, the previous Guild Master made a brazen, borderline insane claim on Rheinland territory declaring half of Sigma 15 Core territory along with two local planets this claim also consisted of a derelict vault which was upgraded and manned to sustain assault and cause severe distress to any hostiles within its vicinity. ■ William, aware that this claim is far beyond the reach of sanity is also aware that the Rheinland government has denied the far more reasonable request of core sovereignty of the area around the Rho Jump Hole in Sigma-15. ■ Williams paranoia and desire for privacy makes the security of this hole and the nearby minor planetoid "Norderney" a non-movable priority for him and the Core|.
William, caught in a tough place on one hand not wanting a conflict with one of his oldest business partners but the importance of Rho's privacy on the other conflict seems inevitable. In one last attempt to secure a diplomatic solution to the tensions, he has called The Core Frumentarii and Procurator to the senate to discuss potential options. .
Christian, you are being dragged into the deep end a little here but that is the nature of the Arcani. After you have both read the above document I would like your suggestions on what we could propose to the Rheinland government in order to secure a mutual benefit for both parties. Keep in mind that the security and privacy of Omicron Rho are paramount and non-negotiable.
I would like to resolve this peacefully if at all possible and am happy to make concessions if necessary as Rheinland has been a strong ally for a considerable time, it would be a true shame to have to put an end to that.

Still no ashtrays, eh? Nevermind. Let's discuss the matter at hand.
It seems to me our friends in Rheinland have overestimated their power again. Ask the GMG what happened the last time Rheinland went to war with a "Small group". Or just visit Sigma 13. Their wrecked capital ships speak louder than any words.
That being said, at this moment we can't afford to go to war with them. We also can't afford backing down. That base is ours. That exclusion zone around Rho hole is also our right. We're the only thing that stands between the Nomads and their excuse of a house. We literally throw away billions upon billions and albeit as a side effect, we protect their border. We have the firepower to obliterate their fleets in the system within days. We have hyperspace transportation capabilities that allow us to quickly deploy entire battlegroups. We can literally cost them this war if they decide to mess with us. We'll cut their supply line to Sigma-21 and they are as good as dead.
Unfortunately, we'll loose a very important supplier, of what exactly I don't know, because we can get all that stuff from Kusari, Liberty and Bretonia. My secretary told me Rheinland has some important exports, but apart from beer, I can't see anything that's unique.
The kicker is, if we decide to go to war, history will repeat itself. Remember the whole Yaren - Dabadoru deal? Yeah, it will happen again, only this time we only stand to lose assets and gain nothing. The only logical solution I see is to load that base with dirty bombs and other various nuclear devices and blow it sky high. We'll call it an incident and we'll fortify our side of the jump hole. We'll also cut off their pathetic base in Delta and let them all die a slow, painful death. In the meanwhile, we'll absolutely flood Kusari with advanced weapons, materials and research. All secret-like, of course. They will have Sigma-15, but they will pay a very high price for it. Millions dead, billions or even trillions of credits worth of damage to their warmachine and a massive blow to their enormous egos.

It would appear to me, sir, that the conflict in Sigma-15 is one that boils down to a lack of communication between the concerned parties. With the outbreak of war in the Sigma-21 system, it is unlikely Rheinland will be comfortable with our presence in the system, especially if they cannot tell if we are friend or foe. From the documents provided, it seems that the Rheinland government understands and, to a point, sympathizes with our position but, alas like all governments, are bound by laws.
I would suggest we withdraw our claim on the system, request permission to enter and to fly. That will make the establishment of any installation within that system far easier for us. With our own conflict in the Omicrons, war with Rheinland is not desirable and they will not forget. Allow me to find evidence against ALG and then we may submit it to their Government so they may deal with it in house. If we toss it all in, then the security of Rho will obviously be threatened.
