now it's the second time this issue has happened to me, this time while I was in a PvP fight.
I use a german layout for my keyboard, and have set all my important functions set to a good spot.
But then, suddenly, shortly before I got into a fight, my keyboard switched to an english (I think...) layout, which means my keys are now in a different spot. This affected my engine kill, weapon groups etc...
When I try to write something outside of Discovery, everything is normal, so I suppose it has something to do with the game.
Does anyone know why this happens, or what you can do to fix this in a short time?
I have an issue whereby my English (UK) keyboard Layout gets switched, randomly, to the English (US) one....less of an issue , perhaps, with both layouts being practically identical (it does irritate if trying to type, however, since the @ and " keys are transposed and so on....) Still though, weird as well....I was perplexed as to why this'd be happening all the time....If indeed its Freelancer Discovery doing it, it would seem to be an odd bug.....could it be linked to key binding and whatever mechanism enables that? I know that the Discovery mod has expanded upon the vanilla in that regard...i.e. more possible "things" to bind...extra keys etc...as I understand it...also , now I come to think of it, certain bindings that should be universally applied across all characters, such as "Tractor all" etc often just become unbound , so to speak, so that only after stabbing in irritation at my usual key for it, when I F1 into settings I find it bound to no key again....
Space travel's in my blood and there ain't nothing I can do about it...

Well, I'll be d@mned....so it does, apologies then because I genuinely thought it might be connected to the times when I found that the "tractor all" key was unbound ….that does happen intermittently....perhaps because I'm unwittingly "Alt +Shifting" and its not bound on the 2nd keyboard ….most of my less combat urgent keys are indeed on the left etc...I suppose the OPs situation may have a similar cause. Thank you for the understandably terse but nonetheless very helpful info and sorry to be a nuisance.
