Is there a fix for ships getting stuck in trade lanes that could be implemented into the mod?
What about making the lane ring bigger?
Yes, I’ve heard all the tips about quick dock, and how to time it, and what angle to use.
The thing is, every ship has it’s own VooDoo that a player needs to figure out to be able to make this basic function of the game work.
Some people say “Fly something else”. Doesn’t that essentially make many of the ships in the game “Broken”?
Shouldn’t it be important to encourage the ease of trading as much as possible to drive the Trader>Pirate>Lawful interaction?
Can the dev team make fixing this a priority? Please?
Simply dock the ship manually. Move it to the centre of the lane ring, so that your ship's centre is almost entering it, and dock. Works with the biggest of battleships. I rarely have issues docking with a trade lane with a Valor if I use this.

I appreciate the tips thunderer, but I’ve been attempting to do that. There are many ships in the game where I simply can’t make them dock properly, even manually docking. It looks like the ship is dead center and yet it gets sucked to the side of the ring.
I get the impression from reading various threads that I’m not alone.
I just feel like the issue should be looked at. It would help less skilled folks out.

There is one point in the very center that pulls your ship in.
So making the ring bigger might actually make aiming for the center more difficult.
Hmm. What if the ring was made bigger, and the model was updated with a “Holographic” style target in the center. Sort of X marks the spot to ease aiming.
Could even work Ageira RP into it. Updates to the tech to compete with Gallic lanes.
