Ok updated title. Sorry I forgot to add that from now on, on every Cup there'll be a vote on which mode the tournament should be until registration is closed. Ace Mode = Higher Prices
Classic Mode = Regular Prices (No more multiplier points or anything)
Added extreme mode (experimental) for more spice and action in the future :p
Updated the List, now it looks alot cleaner than before (whew).
Also the current tournament is on Classic mode (check the title). As for the racers, if you could join our discord it'd be alot easier to schedule your time with the other racers in your group (we already have a couple of those racers in there). Good luck everyone!
I just stumbled over the a bunch of racers in Dublin and did two races. Can't say I'm happy about this thread never getting pinged about scheduled races or spontaneous ones, which really should be the sole purpose of this thread instead of spreading the information via Discord - which wasn't stated as mandatory - and that third party page. I really got salty when I read I was disqualified for a lack of coordination.
I also was surprised that people said CD and CMs weren't allowed while I thought only mines weren't allowed in classic. Otherwise how the hell are people supposed to get back into the race once a certain distance was bought?
Still, it's nice that this is a thing and I hope, with improvements, this can be fun for me as well next time.
You're not disqualified, I just never heard of you again. Folks told me that you appeared and gave me your results so I re-entered the points on the challonge website where the points are on right now. The Discord link was linked on the first post, yes I may have not mentioned it's mandatory but I offered it to racers since this is a 1v1 as a platform.
Yeah Classic has been directly focused on Dexter Hovis's mission in the Singleplayer campaign where you couldnt use CDs either while we left Ace mode as the old school AFC type race as new ideas are coming along and are being applied (such as Extreme mode, name might change, with Freighters as a some sort of endurance race through multi-systems between houses and other sectors etc.).
To be honest I've grown tired of all the "Do it the AFC way or your thing is a failure" comments from older AFC members and your response didn't look realy different so I assumed you dropped out. I've seen AFC members popping up in their Gaian ships trying to mock this event for whatever reason that's why I'm avoiding you folks a little bit because instead of being productive all you've done is literally being salty about any change I did in here (no offense). Thinking that the Tournaments will always be "Round Robin" and hosted like that even tho I mentioned that it's not gonna be like this all I'm doing is gathering racers to have some skill match on 1v1's to get back to speed.
Anyhow, the discord is still up and if you want to join please be my guest, I've asigned roles for each groups and most of them did their races by now, Group C has looked dead other than Spectre (because the other two participiants bounced or are not playing discovery anymore) that's why he recieved a pass. But hearing that you showed up in Dublin, I edited the points and with that you both proceed to the final stage.

Just to clear up this misconception:
a) I was never a member of the AFC.
b) I had no clue the race was taking place, merely investigated UN presence in Dublin.
c) My character didn't like your event, there's nothing personal to it.

It's okay, I wasn't pointing directly at your instance, there's more to it than just that one encounter. Not realy something I like to drag it on to as I do understand the frustration, hence why I plan something different for the next Cup. It's not like I haven't mentioned that this wont be how all the cups are going to be, again I was mentioning that I want to get existing racers up to speed like measuring their skill and stuff on a 1v1 platform and on the next cup we would move on to the old ways. But I guess that part has been ignored.
The Tournament ended as the last 3 - 4 participiants near the final couldnt finish their races so the Prices will be evenly split between the 4 that remained in the Finals.
Enough skill comparison and refreshing your muscles? GOOD! Because the next events wont be like this as I stated many times before. But now, we'll get to the good stuff (without Challonge).
Thanks to everyone for participiating! See you next Cup.
