Ms. Silvan, If the Zoners instead of putting more force into goading the Corsairs in to conflict, the Zoners put more force into even handedly enforcing Zoner laws, none of this would be an issue. We have time after time come to deals with you Zoners, our only request has always been to fairly enforce your rules. That means when a Corsair is attacked by a Bounty Hunter in the Freeport zone, he is held to an equal standard to the Corsair who does it. Unfortunately time after time we have been clearly shown this is not true. Not long ago the Zoner Council voted a new rule to disallow the Freeports to be used as a base for attacks against the Zoners neighbors, a good and thoughtful law. The problem is yet again, when a Corsair bring evidence, he is dismissed by the Zoners, members of the Zoner Council went so far as to say that the Corsair in question was asking for it, by not fleeing the Freeport zone. This is not neutrality. If the Zoners would put as much energy into their neutrality as they do arguing with Corsairs, their would be no more arguments with Corsairs. If our relations were better, I would gladly, as I have done in the past, punish Corsairs violating Zoner laws, but as I can't count on the Zoners to do the same when the attack is against a Corsair, I find my self in the position I am in today, dismissing the complaints of the Zoners, much like they dismiss the complaints of Corsairs.

Again the Zoners. I have scanned the neural net for complaints made against Bounty hunters by the zoners, and have not found many. Seems these zoners do have a thing against Corsairs. I say we give passage to some trusted ones, witch I can count on one hand. And blow the rest to hell. Maybe a loss of life and equipment can make these fools see the error in their ways.
I agree fully with Brother Juan, I will now set forth and make some money from your ships. Any troubles, and I will send a supernova up your rear end. Enough is enough. Lets see how far your diplomacy brings you now.

[font=Palatino Linotype]Dear Sirs,
As this thread tends to drift in some dangerous areas, I would like to emphasize once again the reason for which I have posted my request.
A vesel identificating itself as a Corsair approaches our base. It starts shooting at it without a single word. To the act of our self-defence it responds "kill u?". Then it engages in a regular fight against Zoners and one CR vessel (ally of Corsairs), destroying several of them. Is our complaint on such behaviour questionable? Does it sound to you as an act of animosy? What else in such situations can we do then?
I know many Corsairs and I recognize them as proud and honourable people - this is exactly the reason I turned to your Council for help. The abovementioned behaviour is harmful mostly for you, especially for those of you who are interrested in keeping good relations with your neighbours.
My kind request regards just a try of clearing up who is the responsible person, as obviously you Sirs know better who-is-who among Corsairs than I do. I understand that it is impossible to control everyone everywhere. So if this incident was caused by a child, just too happy to have bought his new gunboat -- I don't see a reason why it should burden our mutual relations. This requires just some good will and cooperation on both sides, and this was the basic reason of my letter to you.
Best regards,
Dr. Werner Mazursky

Has there not been enough tension in a place that we have all come to call home? A report was submitted respectfully regarding an unfortunate incident. It was agreed that such was appropriate and worthy of investigation and attentions by the honorable Corsair Elders. We have then watched it degrade into another conflict resulting in Supernovas and anus'.
I have seen Doc Holiday's willingness to support Crete, I myself am always making donations for the children of Crete upon encountering Corsairs on my trade runs. I never require an escort, because the Corsairs have ALWAYS seen to my safety and I find them to be courteous in each and every encounter. That has been my experience, and I shall call upon those very same honorable men to hear my plea.
With respect, I pray that we may allow ourselves the room to continue to help one another in our mutual pursuits. Further, that we consider not only our own current situations, but that we keep an eye to the future and guard against allowing our passions to destroy our dreams. I pray that we have the courage to rise above disagreements without the need for posturing and violence. That we can all reach a place of mutual understanding, respect and support. Each aware and sensitive to the needs of the other. Each willing to undertake what is needed to ensure the continuance of peaceful co existence. I pray for this.
I, for one, will encourage continued support for the children of Crete and shall tip my hat and pocket book without reservation or hesitation, because it is the children who suffer most needlessly in conflict.

Gentlefolk,
Reginald Waverly here. I regret to inform the leaders of the proud Corsair Nation and the Council of Zoners that an independant Corsair has once again violated the NFZ at Freeport 9, Omicron Theta.
The offending vessel is the "Mitsuomo", a Corsair ID'd/IFF'd Corsair gunboat.
At the time of the incident, I was dropping off passengers at the Freeport while enroute to Corinth Station. The registration on my Liner is about to lapse, and I needed to renew the paperwork at Corinth.
While preparing to dock, I observed heavy traffic around the freeport. Several bounty hunter fighters, as well as some passing Outcasts, responded to my hails, and politely requested permission to dock. They restocked, and left the Freeport without incident.
During this period, the gunboat "Mitsuomi" merely sat silently in close proximity to the station's biodomes, under fire from BHG patrols. I hailed the vessel numerous times, requesting that pilot either dock his ship, or move away to a safe distance. All my hails were met with silence. I can attest that the pilot was on the bridge, as the vessel moved in a controlled fashion.

The gunboat eventually moved off to a distance of 700-800 meters from the Freeport, but then began to engage the nearby patrols, using both turret and heavy razor fire, which came dangerously close to our facility. Still, I received no response to my requests to stand down and stand off.

Out of desperation, I contacted an OPG vessel in Omega 41 and requested immediate assistance. Once I broadcast that OPG had been notified, the vessel began to move off. I shadowed this offender, and eventually followed him through the jumphole to Gamma. At this time, the "Mitsuomi" finally broke radio silence:

I believe the attached black box documentation, along with the numerous witnesses near the Freeport, are sufficient to warrant consideration by both Corsair and Zoner leadership.
It is sad that such rogue individuals apparently do not care that they are straining our relationships, or that they are casting an indelible stain on the proud and honorable Corsair name.
I pray that the esteemed Corsair Elders will see fit to handle this matter "internally".
