Not a fan of batteries like those being derived only from player production.
I do like the idea of turning Azurite into something of practical value that contributes to building something and therefore adds to the player economy.
Azurite could simply be added as a requirement to the tech that comes from pob's, and a few of the special weapons that come from scidata.
I have been daydreaming of a 2nd mineable commodity from the Baxter Anomalies. Instead of scidata, we could get 'Baxter Plasma', which would drop if you used a 'Plasma Extraxtor' instead of anomaly scanner to mine. The gun could just be a double of the anomaly scanner, just rename and cause a different drop. That commodity could then be combined with scidata for some bonuses. Research vessels could then be out to gather just data, or actual plasma samples. And they could use the same batteries or make a 2nd scanner battery unit.
Either way, the more commodities with instrumental purposes we have, the more value we'll get out of dealing in those commodities. But i dont like having to rely too much on thr player community for basics like batts, lets just stick to big tech.
