Munitions Convoy Offloaded:
I touched base with captain Newport in his OSC Shuttle over Leeds yesterday. I had already transferred command of one of my stashed Pitbull Pirate Trains to him days ago. This was our first chance to put it to use. I had already had one of my other pirate trains sent to the Hudson system the day before to sell some Nobium I managed to grab off a destroyed Gallic transport in Leeds. So he grabbed the ship from nearby and I escorted him over to Cold Bay Depot to rendezvous with it. From there we hit Freeport 2 and loaded up on 'Black Market' Munitions as much as we could hold.
It was a smooth trip in and out taking the back routes. We're not exactly legal in Liberty yet, but I plan to address that in the near future. However, we may never aquire legal status. Which means I'll be looking for backup sites to get supplies from, and at worst, stick to smuggling via the back routes and jumpholes.
We both considered it good training. Cargo transfer in low orbit is no easy feat, especially with traffic from smaller craft littering the area. Each of us piloted a freighter ourselves to offload the other's transport. Afterwards we stashed the trains at REDACTED.
But we managed to sharpen up and get a system down of jettisoning the cargo and having our freighters swing by to pick it up, and dive right back down into atmo immediately, wasting no time. Larger convoys may attract attention, for now we may not do too bad only getting two transports done at a time. In the future, I would like to get some escorts to help secure the area, and schedule a large scale convoy to get done all at once. Overall, it was a successful run that went without incident. Not to mention, over 40 million credits per transport back. I let Newport hold on to the credits to put back into keeping himself flying.
We'll try to keep up our skills in this area and be ready to accept future shipments with a high degree of efficiency. Captain Newport performed his tasks very well, and seems to have things well in hand when flying. Now all we need are a few more pilots for freighters and perhaps some transport raiders and we'll be able to set up more regular operations.

Intel Base Converted to Transit Depot:
A modular base previously constructed under my authority at a secret location has been converted into a cargo transit station and fall back HQ for the LRF. The base is one part of a former intelligence operated surveillance operation. Cargo storage is limited, but Captains will be able to offload munitions in small numbers to transfer over to their freighters, and vice versa as they will be able to transfer refugees/casualties from Leeds to a larger transport for evacuation out of the system. The details and location are to remain secret for as long as possible, and are not to be included in any records or transmissions without the ok from HQ. Base IFF transponder will be rescrambled ASAP. All vessels are to use extreme caution when transiting to and fro.

Ongoing Freighter Supply: Stockpiling military surplus
I'm pleased to report that over the last 2 weeks, Captain Newport and I personally delivered approximately 20000 units of Black Market Munitions to Leeds, and at least 10000 units of Refugees back out of the system. Today we offloaded several shipments of Black Market Light Arms from an independent smuggler, and Military Vehilces delivered from the BAF Merchant Navy. They'll be put towards the LRF's surface forces. We'll be stockpiling marines, munitions, light arms, military vehilces and military salvage for the immediate future in order to establish a strong base of operations on the surface, while keeping the BAF military contingent manned and supplied as best we can.
We've also made contact with several entities throughout Sirius which have expressed the desire to support us and take the opportunity to profit from supplying the Resistance. We hope to secure enough support to keep supplied and funded for the foreseeable future.
Freighter captains see our Supply Center for more details on current imports/exports listings.

Former Intel Vessels Converted to serve LRF
Resistance DestroyerRepulse
Initially, I acquired my Crecy class destroyer last year in the same fashion any BAF Captain would. In my case however, the Repulse was commissioned in absolute secrecy in order to be deployed to protect my SIS assets in Leeds (as well as serve as a backup position in the event of anything unexpected). The ship never went far but has been kept in active service, mostly staying station-side, augmenting hideout security.
I've decided to take direct command and quietly transfer it to independent operation. The entire program and crew was payed for and assembled by myself, and quietly. The ship is now firmly under my personal authority as an LRF vessel. We are now functioning to provide security, recon, and act as a mobile HQ. Once we are firmly established, it will also be able to conduct offensive operations. As with all of my combat vessels, I've outfitted the ship with capital quality armor, and a Cloaking Device. Everything is top of the line, but I'll be working for an eventual upgrade to its scanning technology.
In the future we'll try to add more cruiser/destroyer level ships, such as rogue stragglers from the various fleets around Sirius. For now standing orders will be to avoid engagements unless to protect allied supply vessels.
Additionally, during the months before forming the LRF, I had been patrolling the Leeds, Edinburgh, Tau-31 and Orkney systems quite frequently. Patrols into Orkney in pursuit of GMS vessels lead me to a particular region where I detected several spatial anomalies that would materialize and dissappear again shortly after. They have become commonly known throughout Sirius recently as Baxter Anomalies. The Scientific Data acquired from studying such anomalies has apparently become quite useful in weapons research.
Realizing the oppourtunity, I then decided to convert an old Condor gunboat I'd been running as an SIS and traded it in for a Corvo Explorer vessel. I had it equipped with an anomaly scanner, armor, thruster and scanner upgrades, as well as a cloaking device. I commanded the ship during many missions to collect data on the anomalies using a particle beam infusion process. I'm no scientist, I leave it up to the survey team in our research corps I brought aboard to process the data. But, I now have stored a decent amount that should help in keeping us funded, and contribute greatly towards our aquirement of WMD's such as NEMP's. I initially had access to such weapons I acquired off the black market in the SIS, but handed them over to the service for use in New London's defenses.
The ship had been operating as one of my SIS assets, and is now also firmly under my personal authority. Our research vessel will operate behind the lines and will be under orders to gather scientific data from nearby systems for our new Project Ragnarok, our NEMP R&D project. The program will be administered from this vessel.
Finally, this old Bullmastif Pirate Transport I got last year to stage incognito raids from here in Leeds has been reactivated for privateering duty. I used the ship for a few raids but it has remained barely crewed and on standby as an additional supply vessel. The ship will be used to conduct cargo piracy raids against the trade lanes anywhere in Leeds and Tau-31.
The ship has also been retrofitted with some of the best stuff money can buy in Sirius, probably worth more than the vessel itself. Luckly though these ships have proven themselves to be quite formidable raiders and we'll make use of any of them we can get off the black market. In conjunction with this, I've made personal use of several pirate trains and a Bactrian that were refurbished to serve my intel operations base, and are now in use by the Resistance. These vessels are cheap and reliable, and plenty available on the black market. We should put them to good use.
All captains please keep an eye on our intercom, freighter servicing of incoming Black Market Munitions shipments and outgoing refugee shipments continues to go well.

Action Report
I had our flagship the Repulse out today for a little patrol to conduct some routine exercises for the crew. Not long into the trip though we recieved a general call from BAF forces in New London that were gathering to counter a detected buildup of Gallic forces near the Southampton wreck. I can never help but to respond in such situations, and the ship was fully operational, there was no reason to hold back, but I haven't directly disclosed the Repulse to the BAF. They didn't give us any trouble, I think some assumed we were only a gunboat.
So we jumped over to New London and came at Southampton from the North-west of the wreck, then swung around to join the BAF contingent attacking from the south. I served on large ships in combat in the past here and there, but I have only commanded the Repulse in combat a couple of times now. I and the crew needed the experience.
Upon arriving, one Valor decloaked directly ahead of us as we approached and opened fire by surprise. We managed to swing back out of it, but it was close! Kudos to the captain. I tried keeping us on the edge of the battle after that, but we got carried away and wound up in the thick of it...again. After finding ourselves in the 'spotlight' we took a mass convergence of weapons fire and a large explosion briefly disabled the ship. The focus shifted away again and after restoring power, we limped back over to New Providence station for basic repairs. After several hours, we disembarked again and returned to Leeds. I'm aware that I have advised our captains to avoid engaging the Gallic fleet directly in battle, and for the near future, will do better to try to follow my own lead.
To members: We've stockpiled a few thousand units each of Light Arms, and Black Market Munitions at our hideout. For the time being, I'll bring them in via Pirate Train and dump them for transfer at 100 credits a unit. Members can ship from there to planetside and keep the profits of whatever they can ship. I'll keep them coming in, you guys can do the offloading as you can. Hail me if you have any questions.

Military Vehicles Offloaded
Refugees Evacuated
Reporting back that the we managed to offload a BMF shipment of Military Vehicles to the surface, and evacuated 5000 refugees for transport out of the system. I've recieved word that we may have further shipments from various parties also incoming over the next week or so. Freighter captians please be on alert! Also, please welcome members of the Sundrey Clan into our ranks. One of them had just arrived in the area to join us when this convoy arrived, and they were a great help.
So far our system of jettisoning the cargo in bundles for tractoring is working well.

In regards to an automated distress signal broadcast by LRF Captain Drake Newport, I have issued a security update at all of our facilities. It has been 10 days since there has been any word from Captain Newport, and he is overdue for check in. His access to all systems and facilities has been revoked until further notice, pending debrief at HQ.

After a brief stint on the surface, I returned to duty today and returned to space to greet an incoming BMF convoy in Manchester. This was the second time they'd attempted to bring in two transports full with BAF standard Marines to bolster the Resistance HQ and man the additional vehicles we've been bringing in with them. The first attempt was intercpted by GRI bombers marked with \*/ as their preceding tag in their callsigns. I thought it was an ambush, so I attacked them rather than dilly dally. So did one of the BMF escorts, which bought the transports time to get away. Today they returned, and me and my crew in the Stratocaster unloaded 10,000 units of Marines to the surface base. We brought out approximiately 5000 refugees again in return, which should now be bound for Free Bretonia or Rheinland.
Also, after a brief interrogation I've cleared Drake Newport again and his security access and Tag use has been restored. His ships are clear to fly again. That's partially because some secret agent type called 'Skylark' popped in to Leeds just as our BMF boys were outbound, demanding that he be released, and that its terribly imperative. He also mentioned some nuclear explosive Newport has on one of his ships that's supposed to be bound for Liberty, some important message he was trusted with. its all news to me, but I've returned to the surface to clear him. Although he did pass on some information, all of it can be used to lure the enemy out, and we'll change anything else necessary. From now on, if he has to, he'll pass on false information to the occupation forces in order to gather intelligence for our side. When he returns, I hope to have us resume regular freighter runs. In the meantime, Captain Newport's mission is to deliver his explosive cargo before its too late. If I don't have confirmation he's left the surface with it within 8 hours, I'll auto launch any of his vessels to space.

[Subject]: Projects Update
[Encryption]: High
The LRF is continuing to work on 3 main projects at this time, with 3 main goals.
Goal #1- Operation Lifeline - is the continuing supply operation of offloading supplies to the surface, and evactuating refugees. The purpose behind this is to increase supplies to BAF forces still fighting in pockets on the surface, as well as to build our own independently operating para-military forces to augment surface defense. This includes the mass import of every grade of munitions, Light Arms, Military Vehicles, Marines and Military Salvage. This is expected to be ongoing for the near future. Our first step was also to import enough of our own forces to occupy a subterranean base we plan to construct nearby to the current Resistance Base (HQ). Once we have furbished and deployed a reasonable fighting force to secure the area, we'll begin importing Mining Machinery, and a variety of other commodities to construct our own permanent subterranean HQ. All thoughout we plan to be able to deploy our forces to assist BAF ground forces, and will operate from the current base until we can move our forces into own. The entire operation will be conducted as that of a PMC (private military company) or Privateer force, which will back up the BAF as long as they still have positions on the surface.
Goal #2 - Operation Eagle Eye - Maintenance of Resistance space stations in remote Leeds. Still unkown to most allies, an intelligence program already had commissioned the contruction of 2 X Core 1 modular bases, clustered in a remote part of Leeds, both with functioning shield generators and full compliments of weapons platforms. The well defended array now serves as a Resistance hideout, back up HQ, and cargo transit station. It is our hope this base will play an integral role in maintaining Resistance activity, and provide a friendly port to allied forces should they ever invade Leeds.
Contingency plans are being drawn up in the event of an emergency evactuation. Each LRF vessel and asset has SOP's on what to do should the bases need to be evacuated. Preparations are in place to move our operations to a new base, to e deployed at a new location, should it become necessary.
Goal #3 - PROJECT RAGNAROK - NEMP Procurement. This will take place in the form of 2 programs. The first will be our own indigenously run Scientific research program, that was also started under the auspices of a secret Intelligence run research vessel. This vessel, as well as the Repulse, and our bases, is outfitted with a Mobile Medical Unit, Research Corps, Reconnassance Module, and Survey Team. All of which process data accumulated from nearby spatial anomalies, which can then be put towards NEMP weapons research. Once we have accumulated enough data, we should be able to turn out a working weapon based on the same design as those I procurred on the black market for the SIS last year. So far we have accumulated several hundred units, and continue to stockpile.
The second part of the program will be a back up to the first, which will be to seek the procurement of the weapons by any other means, most likely the black market. However, we are now able to deal in Scientific Data, so we may simply be able to procure an existing weapon system for barter.
In conjunction with this, the second program will also be charged with securing other advanced technology and capital vessels of any kind, in particular destroyer/cruiser class.
Once we have enough staff, I'll assign department heads to oversee these projects.
