Yes, yes, I finally get around to making one.

Anyways.

• PM someone who knows what they're doing with any error messages.
  
  
• Run HijackThis.
  -PM logs to someone who knows what they mean (i.e. me, or someone else who professes knowledge)
  
  
• Scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware.
  -Update definitions
  -Run a Quick Scan, then a Full Scan.
  -PM results to the same person.
  
  
• Clean with Faronics System Cleaner.
  -Go to "Add Folder" and check all three boxes.
  -PM the log to the person also.
  
  
• Wait for a response and more specific directions.
  -Depending on the virus/malware, drastic measures may be required.
  -These might include: Scanning with A(squared), using FlashDriveDisinfector, or using ComboFix. The person who is helping will know. (or know where to find out)
  
  
• Once the response is sent, follow the directions TO THE LETTER. This is IMPERATIVE to prevent further damage.
  
  
• Back up your thumb drives and format them. Some viruses place themselves on the boot sector of a thumb drive and automatically infect a computer when they're plugged in.
  
  
• Scan with HijackThis again, and send the logs. Repeat steps 1-5 as needed or directed.
  
  
• Once your system is pronounced clean, re-install your anti-virus software. It has likely been compromised by the infection.

Thats my way, too. Before I work +2 hours on such a virus problem, i take 2 hours for a fresh windows. But for someone, who cant format C that easiely, u did a great service, Boss.
