I don't know if I've said it before but buffing missions could possibly have multiple outcomes - giving missions viability and profit could:
-increase player activity in certain regions active doing pve in hopes for others to log too
-by having players on pvp capable ships (not afk traders) would give other factions incentive to log and get in a skirmish with the farmers
-farming credits or certain resources (some which can be useful in rp such as prisoners) would appeal to the player base that would rather shoot things than dock trade lanes or autopilot to jumpholes
-pvp that will arise will give incentive to players to keep seeking that satisfaction or get better at pvp or explore different ships and ship types
-it will remind players of the usefullness of repair ships which can then be used to bring back certain gamestyles
Obviously you would need to do stuff like removing the group shared mission bounty as well as increase it and set up certain bases that give lvl 40+ missions consistently so that players don't have to mindlessly keep cycling till they get one suitable

You and me both, but that would also break the earnings a bit as well. Because you could simply have 10 people on one mission with big-ass ships erasing the enemy with no effort whatsoever and gaining about 3-5 million per mission.

Think about what you just said. You'd have ten people grinding missions. That's 10 people in a single system creating activity, massively raising the interaction potential. The more people that get involved, the more activity.

If activity is what you aim for then yea. It can work.
