Subject: Kusarian Surveillance
Priority: High
Commissar Seidel reporting. After two weeks in Kusarian territory I managed to get back in one piece and strech my legs. Those little light fighters doesn't have much space, and when you pack up for such a long mission. Anyway. I have fully completed the task His Watchful Eye given to me.
I entered Kusari space through sigma-19 in Honshu system.
The gate is defended with the usual weaponry, nothing extraordinary. The gas clouds are mined by GMG forces, and found a few outcast raiders, but can proove a good hiding place for a smaller attack fleet.
The system provides access to 4 other kusarian system and to sigma 13 and 19. Might be a good retreat point as there are a lots of possible ways out of the system.
Oita system is as barren as comrade Julia's dating calendar. But the jump hole leading to the system in Hiroshima is defended with a few weapon platforms.
Two uninhabited planets, two almost dead stations. And I have to note, that the people sitting in station's control tower are not quite friendly. I could use a little shopping... ehm.. I mean tactical surveillance on Wall Street Station.
On the other hand the system is well defended, a battleship is stationed there, as I saw. Didn't want to get closer to take a scan or something. I'm not an idiot, like that Zofia to blow myself up and incinerate even my escape pod... Although the clouds near the jump gates may provide with some cover if the need arises.
Fukuoka system, or whatever they call it was my next target. Even more deserted, but those kusarian police guys keep it well protected. And they are rude. They chased me out of the system as their aim is not the best... I hope they handle the kusarian girls better...
Kyushu system is boring as well. Those farmer guys everywhere. At first I thought they're throwing pitchforks at my ship, but at least those would've passed the shields... They have a base situated there, called Kagosimi, or Kagoshima... Yeah, Kagoshima Depot. All they do is grow rice, nothing else.
Tottori was the next system I scouted. Two entry points, an Asteroid field of Ice, few uninhabited planets. Might be a silent place for a smaller group of intruders, but even a small force can block their escape. Not suggested.
Next one is Hokkaido. Another system with intense traffic. There are ways to 6 different systems, the jump holes situated in the gas clouds. These gas clouds are good place to hide, like those golden ones and the Blood Dragons do. I found another battleship stationed near a construction site. I guess they're building a jumpgate, but didn't want to get in sensor range of the big boy.
Chogoku. Eh, I didn't like that place. The whole thing is located in a big cloud. I couldn't sunbathe there, I wish I could see more than the nose of my fighter at all. Again, several access to other systems, little or no enemy patrols at all. At least I didn't met with anyone.
Tohoku. Now that's a lot nicer place, if you ask me. You have a beutiful view on that huge Arch. Other than that the system is quiet. No planet, only huge asteroids, but not much of them. No places to hide, contact with enemy is almost unevitable.
Nagano was the last system on my list. Little notable things. I bumped into a base of those rice planting farmers. I was scouting in a gas cloud, when suddenly it was before me. Barely managed to evade it, but I guess a few strands of rice might have stuck on my ship. The rude police officers were present again. Anyway, this system has access to other kusarian systems only, and have nothing interesting, so I suggest staying out of there.
My report is over, I'm heading to take a hot shower and await further orders.
Seidel out.
