=CR=J.T.Simmons/=CR=FV-Pallas|167 have been sanctioned for:
Quote:4.3 Docking during combat with hostiles in docking message range (15k) counts as PvP Death, except for transports. If a player combat docks in a transport they may remain in the system for the sole purpose of trading only. They may not attack anyone unless in self defense. This restriction lasts for one hour.
Consequences:
It appears that you engaged the enemy, decided that you needed a bigger Ship, so docked. The problem is the enemy registered you docking and therefore you coming back in your big ship infringed the Server Rules.
Because you have a lot of access to different Shared Ships and finding one of yours is 'like finding a needle in a haystack', weapons removed from offending Ship and Sanction Notice in the hold. I will let you sort it out with the Faction.
If you require evidence, you may request such via PM from a Staff member. Only the accused or an official faction leader of the accused person's faction may request such. Once you have the evidence, and if you wish to dispute it, you may post in the Sanction Thread below. Do not continue PM'ing a staff member, as that will result in your Appeal being denied. If you PM a staff or post in the sanction thread and you are not directly involved, you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Blaming members of your immediate family, neighbors, friends, pets, and assorted Orcs, Trolls and any other legendary creatures may result in the use of GM Right #CTE 750AE

I believe the evidence I sent previously contains the required.

After looking over both the evidence provided, as well as my own logs on the encounter, I'm unsure why a DSAce log of the event was sufficient evidence to invoke a sanction. While my account of the exchange can't be proven by any screenshots (I hate my computer sometimes), I will state that I had flown out of the combat area and into the Makassar Field to distance myself from the fight and informally disengage to avoid PvPdeath by combat docking.

[06.12.2019 22:38:54] 2019-12-06 22:38:55 SMT Traffic control alert: =CR=J.T.Simmons has requested to dock
By the time the sieging group had begun their attack on Borneo Orbital once more I was already outside of the combat zone. Flying back in after at least two (but roughly four) minutes or so of being away from the fight, which in my eyes constitutes being 'disengaged', I flew back in, and with no dialogue exchanged between either side docked on Minato. While within their scanner range, I was not engaged.
I'd also like to point out that the logs and images provided that assisted with this sanction do not provide any images of my ship docking while in combat, which I feel should be essential to avoid misconstruing of information like I believe I see here.
As such, I'd like to ask that this sanction is reversed.

After hours of searching, I've located the screenshot that I'd taken in the Makassar. I don't know how I kept skimming over it, but I believe that a three minute time window and over 15k of distance between myself and the planet, let alone the enemy ships, is more than enough time to 'disengage' from the fight. Considering nothing else was said between the timestamp and my docking message, I believe this constitutes being not PvP dead.
I wish to ask once more that this sanction is overturned.
