Ahh yes, the usual argument when PoB sieges are being discussed. So you like destroying PoBs, but what will you do once there are no more PoBs to destroy because your destructive playstyle makes casual players quit the game? You will leave, too, and the server ends up empty. You're so cool playing the mean guy in a video game, man.
PoBs shouldn't exist, at least not the way they are currently, but destroying them and then posing as the hero because "pobs bad" only makes you look like an edgelord who has nothing better to do than sit there for an hour and half holding right click on a virtual space station. I see no reason to enjoy this except schadenfreude. Yes, these people enjoy frustrating others instead of actually playing the game.
I'm not saying this is the reason discovery loses players. The reason obviously is that the game is ages old and people who played it actively have no time for it anymore. The community as a whole needs a change of mentality if you want to keep the last 30 players, because those 30 players aren't here on the forum, they're casuals who only care about their little space station and are happy as long as it's there to eat ressources. Fun is subjective, and some players fun is having said space station. We should let them have their fun.

My sole goal was to make the Rheinland Lawful vs Unlawful fight a living thing again, mainly inspired by the EOS and MNG Siege on Tortuga in Omicron Tau. That siege has a bunch of attackers and defenders, people have clashed quite a few times and sides have adapted their strategies on taking each other on.
People might want to point fingers and say "it's the hater gang (whoever these people are), they want to take Revenge for Sigma-21" and I don't think that is the case. RHA has had a history of sieging PoB's to a point where it has become a meme to say "Call Wesker" when you want to siege a base. In this case, Rheinland's history of kicking people out and telling everyone to not log against the Hessians has backfired on them and the destruction of bases is the result.
As an outsider and one who hasn't been involved in the Base sieges, I would like to point out a big difference, between the two.
Tortuga was besieged by the MNG and other Gallic Lawfuls. It was a Core 1 Base and from what I can tell, the siege was to entice the OCs to come and defend it. This led to fights. I have no idea who won/lost the fights, but I can see that the Base still stands.
Tortuga - Outcasts - 69.114%
No idea what Core levels (I haven't bothered checking) the Bases the RHA and allies attacked, but I believe 2, or maybe more, are dead. If it was to entice fights, then did it need to be so clinical (such high numbers, a lot of specialised weapons)?
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

"We" killed 3 in the last 3 weeks. More to come. The first two generate huge amounts of fun fights, it was really great. The last one was a dud, literally 5 hours of 6-7 caps pummeling the base and nothing going on.
1 was a ooRP Base made to annoy another community member.
1 was a Core 1, with no shield that was apparently not in use until a day before we attacked, as that day, it suddenly started to do all upgrades at once.
1 was a Core 2, that had been abandoned for weeks if not months according to several players who frequently visited the base prior to the siege.
