My name is Aubrey Riviere and I am contacting you on behalf of Musashi Innovations. We are an independent research corporation based in the Omicrons and independent worlds. Our specialty is exotic technology that can only be found in the unexplored Edge Worlds, primarily space-based armaments and protection.
The reason we are contacting you today is because we are looking to expand our foothold with a central HQ station armed with production sections in the Omicrons, and we've seen that your corporation could offer the services that require to make our plans reality. We are aware that the Omicrons are quite a distance from where you typically operate, but we hope that this would be an exciting venture for both of our corporations as we take on new approaches.
it's always a joy to meet new companies that aren't on the big scale! I'm Jaina and I will be your point of contact for this project.
While we're specialists in base construction, I admit that we aren't so much in the Omicrons. Our latest run had us attacked by nomads! So we'll certainly need additional security. Where exactly have you imagined your installation to be constructed?
Can you also tell me a bit more about your company? Exotic technology and unexplored systems sounds very exciting! But what exactly does Musashi do? Is there any special requirements for the installation? Do we need to deal with anything special?
What kind of installation have you planned for your company if there are plans already?
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm glad to hear you're receptive of our offer.
As for Musashi Innovations, our corporation has been founded in 823 A.S. - our roots are primarily Kusarian, but we have grown to be much more multicultural compared to the typical Kusarian companies. As a research corporation, our main focus is on exotic weaponry and protective equipment. In fact, we are close to unveiling our first product that will be available to our partners: the Purple Lance, a railgun with shells infused with exotic elements. We will have a public announcement regarding this close to the future, along with a spacecraft shield that is currently in development.
The base that we are looking to construct is designed to be our HQ, as well as have the necessary production labs to produce the technology for customer use. Offices and research labs would be priority, with the option to expand in the future as our product portfolio increases.
We plan to have this station built in Omicron Delta. Would this be something up your alley?
we've made some preliminary calculations and estimate that the full construction of a basic installation with standard shielding and some cargo storages will be around 500,000,000cr.
Now I will be honest, I think that's a very expensive endeavour. We might be able to make it cheaper if we co-maintain the installation and rent out research space in the installation.
We found that Heisenberg Research Station in Cologne seems to be successful with this approach.
While we are not maintaining a large security force ourselves maybe outfitting the defense ships with the weaponry you offer could give them an edge. And we also supply a few organisations in our immediate surroundings... would Musashi be interested in a reseller or distributor in the independent worlds?
That's a very agreeable proposal. As we are only just now unveiling our products, we are starting to get the finances necessary to make this station come true.
Co-maintaining the installation seems to be a reasonable choice on this occasion. Musashi would need to have its own quarters and plants sectioned off for the security of trade secrets, but we are open to the idea of Bristol co-maintaining the rest of the installation.
As for the security of the station itself, rest assured that we have a sizeable security wing in the Omicrons that are armed to the teeth with our newest designs, so there shouldn't be any issue when it comes to interacting with the other denizens of the Omicrons.
For the topic of resale, that would be an interesting notion. We are looking to expand into the independent worlds, and this would be a good opportunity for both Bristol and Musashi. I will pass this on to our sales director who will hopefully contact you separately soon.
