Make sure not to post any infocard-related or model-related problems in this thread. It is mainly for bug reports related to space NPC encounters, NPC interaction, NPC loadouts and complexity, NPC AI, system population etc.
You can also post general system-related bugs here (as well as in General bugs).
Errant.Venture, Hood (not Hoodlum), Boss, Quozz, and I found that Eta Missions from Etna are one cause for the crashes. (I was just about to rejoin them since i just got my ship finished so i wouldnt get instakilled)
Guess we can move on to find if theres any other causes.
Edit: Actually, at the time, I had been kicked trying to beam my Mjolnir to Gammu ( .beam Raisu ew06_02_base ). Logged back in, and then I received the redlag.
Missions appear to be glitched out of Etna in Eta. Anti-OC mission against Sabres, took down two and redlag appeared immediately after being told to return to battle. Other things happening around this time:
-Lib Dread in New York
-AI Core Ship beaming to Gammu

Continous crashes on the server when flying too close to the glitched asteroid field in Orkney. My server crashed a total of six times when making sure it was the field.
Base is less than 500m from the planet, in an orbit that would just decay in moments.
Also seems to cause a crash when attempting to dock. Other things happening were missions in Eta.

Missions from the Battleship Westfalen in Bremen often take you to Cloppenburg... Sometimes with kill station missions, the station spawns INSIDE the base.
Edit: Yes, Westphalia, Brunhild. Apologies. Fingers sometimes like to think for themselves...

By Westfalen I assume you mean Westphalia.
And yes, there are only two mission spawn locations in that system out of that ship, one leads to the Hamburg JH, and the other to the Bund base.
GAH i was posting in the wrong thread...ok here's what my team found so far:
Testers: Quozz, Hood, Raisu, Boss, Errant.Venture
(note: i just copied and pasted my post in here, from the testers wanted thread)
Ok so my testers seem to have logged off for the night...but will run that server overnight...if anyone wants to test some things.
Hood, Quozz found a few problems from the Battleship stirling in Dundee. mainly in the form of missions which required them to take something back to that base, for mission complete. Everything went smooth until they docked, then as soon as they did, the server crashed. For specific details you will have to talk to them.
I have been doing some testing in Champagne...and only found 1 mission so far that caused a crash, it was a mission for 150k to kill ROyal Gallic Navy Upon undock, the game kicked me to windows, and crashed the server.
I also tested somthing for Raisu, just now, and it seems that when i pass through a certain point in the debris field north of the Battleship Chaumont, it crashes...unfortunately i have been unable to determine the exact point....i have tried to replot on my nav map to the best of my knowledge, but have been unable to relocate that exact area.
I must say that Hood and Quozz deserve the most credit in our group, as they were the ones who found the most crashes/causes in dundee.
The nomad areas seem fine, however i only tested with a Order Bastet VHF, so it may also be ship specific.
Again Hood and Quozz found the most bugs in our tests in dundee....that i know of, i logged out for a bit to do some stuff....so they should be posting here shortly.
Bottom line in our tests though seem to be missions requiring something to return to a base, the missions that just asked us to kill NPC's seemed to do just fine
as i said, i will keep my test server up, over night, if any of you night owl's feel the need to explore other possible bugs
EDIT: add this to your target in freelancer if you wish to try our server -s97.121.161.196:2302
and this is what HOOD posted about his findings after my post:

While I was doing missions in Dundee from BS Stirling we had 4 crashes ( I think) on Errants server, there were 3 or 4 others on at the time, who may have been doing things to cause a crash. The missions were just kill ships and the server seemed to crash after missions returning to Stirling, there are quite a few Kusari & Bretonia npc's around the base constantly attacking each other (maybe that has some bearing on it). Later on with just Quozz and me on we took a mission which did not have a mission point on the map and had to abort that one (did not cause a crash).
