Some time ago the devs used to control governments. Now governments control the devs. That is, among other reasons, why the storyline gets a weird gaffe once in a while (like the unpopular reasoning behind the Gallo-Kusarian War). One must pass certain criteria to become a developer, but some faction high commands and governments don't demand any criteria for positions in them.

I am not affiliated with LIA in any way, I got shafted by them in game and made fun of them multiple times.
But That doesn't change anything on the fact that they absolutely should get a seat on a government made up of OFs, or said government becomes just an arbitrary group of people heavily incentivised to keep new factions out to not dilute their voting power
If or when faction is mature enough for the position they might be added, rather than barging in and demanding access.
While I can't really comment on LibGov I will agree player led Gov brings about OORP Drama (See LSF vs LIA, EVERYONE IN RHEINLAND) which is a detriment to the RP and overall story. The Rheinland Coup and coinciding civil war was written in because people where incapable of playing nicely. I couldn't give a flying f*ck about how people care oorp about eachother, but this is a roleplaying server. Act your goddamn part, if you can't then go find another damn server.
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

Uh yup. Also no clue how to get from LIA - Liberty 'internal issue-something' to a general consensus that Govs shouldn't have any players and just be additional workload to the dev team.
LibGov telling people to earn their place is their decision. It's the entire Liberty Lawful OFLs and by extension HCs saying no to LIA right now for their own reasons. Clear this up between yourself without trying to publicly denounce one side?!?!?
[11:27 PM] SnakThree: Just in case, found this interesting tidbit in voting archive:
[11:27 PM] SnakThree: https://images-ext-2.discordapp.net/exte...MeHT2m.png
[11:27 PM] SnakThree: It means we did ~250 votes since 2018 December 1st
[11:28 PM] SnakThree: 664 days, ~250 votes, ~0.38 votes per day.
[11:29 PM] SnakThree: Or 1 vote every two and a half days.
Ice is stalking me in numerous channels and in-game and is muted on discord and here so no Idea what the rest of the post that I assume was a lame attempt at insulting me as usual says.
- But the faction is official, is worthy of it as judged by GMs, has put in all the work and fulfilled criteria to become OF. If they were not, they shouldn't have gotten the approval. It should not be on players that are actively incentivised to keep them out to have a say whether they get a vote or not.
They can outvote them when they are within the government - not whether they can have a say or not clearly. Because then governments become just a random arbitrary group of people instead of players representative of the house's player base.

Just because Game Masters lack quality control, doesn't mean that Liberty Government should lack it as well. Bellck is 2ic of LIA but Bellck is also banned from LibGov for faking votes and other shenanigans. LIA is very young faction, born out of lazy and weak RP (=LSF= agent captured by Order for ten years, escaped under dubious circustances refused to be questioned while trying to apply for =LSF=). this combination of factors have led people to vote against such faction getting into LibGov. Maybe in time, with more mature representatives, it can be done. The fact that Bellck wanted to push LIA into LibGov right as they gained official status shows how much it is about themselves and not Liberty itself.
