Greetings, Hackers. My name is Albert, and I'm the Communications and Science Officer on board Starflier NX-01.
A while ago, us Starfliers contacted you about purchasing a handful of scanners and transmitters to increase the range, security and strength of our communications. We have noticed a considerable jump in performance using your technology compared to our previous civilian level hardware. So I'm here to say thank you on behalf of the Starfliers. Today, we will be asking something else of you, if I may.
While on leave, our leader Leon has left a list for me to resolve. One item on this list asks me to send out a request to be able to use your engines on '\S/' designated vessels. I hear the Hackers are very protective of their technology, and I completely understand. However given our previous conversation, maybe this can be something we can arrange? If your decision is to reject the request, I can strike this off the list and consider this item resolved.
We do appreciate your repeated interest and business with us. You are right to seek us out given the superiority of our technology, and similarly you understand how important it is that we ensure the security of our trade secrets. However, due to a recent trade markets declaration, somehow also affecting black markets, we are no longer able to offer for sale Lane Hacker developed or manufactured ship engine equipment.
We can now only offer totally generic and universally compatible engines, with no hint of any Lane Hacker uniqueness, technological or production input. Genuine Lane Hacker brand engines and accessories are now exclusively available to members of the inner circle. As an aside, this change is retrospective and any technology heretofore or hereafter held by any others is rendered non-genuine, generic and universal, warranties being revoked and customer support unavailable thereto.
Despite this, our bases will still make these generic engines available to you, and our gear dealers will appreciate your patronage. If you should find any data packets, descriptors or information alleging that generic engines have anything to do with the Lane Hackers, I can only assume that information is wrong and was written for no other purpose than to confuse or deceive you, given that it is apparently meaningless. I apologize for the inconvenience.
