29/07/800, Narcotic trafficking - incarcerated on LPI Sugarland, 2 years
-Known associates: Andrew Durnam, Patrick Keilger, John Peterson, Dean Smith. (For more details, see the Notes section).
-Profile: During time spent in the HPCF and LPI Sugarland, LPI councilors had the opportunity to speak with Mr Byrant and gather information in an effort to create a mental profile (as in compliance to the Liberty Offenders Correctional Act, 790). The full report can be found here for those authorised to view LPI prisoner data files. In summary however, the profile showed Mr. Bryant to be arrogant, cunning and authoritarian towards those around him, while simultaneously attaching little value to other human beings that he was not familiar with.
Throughout the imprisonment, he showed a distinct contempt for the law, adopting a stance of non-compliance, leading to the 'endearing' nickname from the guards "The Bastard". After analyse shows that the LPI may not have given Mr. Bryant the in-depth profiling he should have received, which ironically may well cause the LSF a great deal of trouble later on.
-Notes: Mr. Bryant is believed to have been heavily involved in the RedSkull gang, a group believed to be responsible for a hike in abduction rates and narcotics dealings throughout Heampstead and the Houston Regional Spaceport area. It is believed that Bryant may have occupied a leading role, although no direct evidence has been found to support this (however many of his known associates have been implicated with the group).
It is believed that the victims of the abductions were being sold into slavery to the criminal elements of the Texas system, who would pick up the prisoners planetside. When Bryant was arrested during a LSF raid in 800AS due to intel gathered about a slave-trade off, he was found with a large quantity of narcotics in a warehouse on the outer fringes of the spaceport complex. Analysts believe this may have been a pay-off for the prisoners. Frustratingly no trace of the slaves were found, leading the the sole charge of narcotics trafficking being pressed.
There were LPI operations to shut down localised slave trades, which was arguably successful, despite the fact that slavery still persists in small pockets across the region.
