Specialized Research Vessel, Designation "Sol" A retrofitted "Enterprise"-Class Luxury Liner
Current Status:Research Project Completed
It's been quite some time since Burton Grant worked with Jonathan Seabourne to steal a such a liner from Planet Curacao. The job was rather simple: inspect the ship and assess it's suitability for a research-oriented retrofit. With Burton being arrested and his information lost in 828AS, the Starfliers had gathered enough details working directly with Orbital Spa & Cruise. A single Luxury Liner was purchased and schematics are being drawn up to have it become a specialized research vessel, one that can be placed above the Starfliers' "Bustard"-Class, '\S/'Velorum.
Over the last few weeks, research stations across Sirius had recorded a pulse, one that has disturbed the Jump Gate network. This disturbance was also recorded by the Starfliers, who were already in the process of preparing to purchase a single Luxury Liner. With the new details coming out about the Earhart System, the design plans of this ship were to be specialized in that particular field. The main bays where luxury halls and rooms would normally be will be replaced by storage containers specifically designed to hold extracted minerals such as ores and the recently discovered minerals from within Earhart. With plans being drawn up to make this ship a reality, we have recognized that the cargo containers will be unsuitable to carry anything else - making trading or general logistical ventures impractical. The ship is ultimately designed to replace the '\S/'Velorum, however the "Bustard"-Class still remains an operational asset for the Starfliers.
