Howdy, visitors to the Omicrons.
You seem to be vastly interested in good business deals. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jacob Turner, Administrator of Grootegeluk Depot. It has come to my attention that your band of merry haulers have begun expanding into hauling operations to and from the Omicrons. In that regard, Welcome!
I find myself learning of an impromptu, spur of the moment operation upon which two of our civilian miners were offered to contract mining with the aim of stocking our hub of harvested exotic materials. I was also informed that this risky operation concluded several hours ago. Our warehouse manager reports staggering quantities of one such exotic resource retrieved from Omicron Pi. As much as I could berate the endangerment of our civilians, they proclaim the operation was a success, and that the damages sustained were merely superficial.
Seeing as you know who we are, it is only fair that in future events such as these are contacted to us directly through more formal and planned methods. It is our aim to make sure that large-scale operations do not fall ill to interferences, such as the Order and Corsairs, who I have no doubt attempted to stick their noses where they don't belong during extraction.
You have proved that, despite threats to your goals, your people react to the pressure with solutions to the issues that throw themselves at you. I like organisations that can think on their feet. On that note, I hope we can find it agreeable to work more closely together in future, and I look toward the potential of founding a new business partnership with Weiss.
This is Hermann Weiss, representing Weiss Shipping. First off, I would like to apologize for the previous lack of communication. We would be more than happy to establish formal talks between Weiss Shipping and the Grootegeluk Depot and Core with the goal of mutually beneficial business deals.
Our shippers are used to a lower level communication than directly contacting the leader and found it natural to accept a commission from a station representative, as is usually the case.
In regards to the mining operation, we would like to inquire about the identity of the hostile parties that attacked us. Both the cruiser and snubcraft, as well as the ship that attacked the mining container.
Another fact that surprised us was the presence of a Corsair vessel in the Omicrons. Do they have regular access to xenoarcheoligical excavations, or was the ship's presence just an outlier?
A less important thing we would like more information on are the Phoenix Zoners who recently contacted us. Their uncivilized tone when negotiating services implied strong backing in the region.
To add to and sum up the previous three points, in general, to avoid unnecessary hostilities as well as be aware of all dangers, we would like a discussion about the political situation in the Omicrons.

A pleasure, Weiss.
In regards to your willingness to communicate, I am glad. Better communicated operations can be planned with more precision, and can mitigate any interferences of hostile groups.
To address your points on the attacks, yes. The Order do frequently attack our operations when they learn we are active on such. The snubcraft was an Artificial Intelligence drone. Likely one that escaped from Gammu before we fought back their invasion forces. As for the Corsairs presence, yes they frequent Omicron Pi and proclaim themselves the sole owners of the site within Knossoss. For the most part, we have a “leave each other be” policy when it is small-scale, but, as was seen by some of your freightercrast, they can be quite territorial.
We do not have open negotiations with the local Zoners. Some of them aid us, some shun our presence. We do however maintain some trade diplomacy going between ourselves. The Phoenix group is one of those we do not maintain trade with, rather we have some friendly competition in Iridium supply.
The political situation in Omicron Delta is… Tense. Corsairs, Order, Technocracy and we of the Core have friction. The Order are Terrorists, Corsairs, Pirates and Technocracy, oppose us for our differing views on Technologies. For the most part, the Technocracy have been rather withdrawn from interfering, but the former two can be active in opposing us. Despite the frictions, plenty of other factions visit the Omicrons seeking fair value for their goods, and something valuable to take back for the return trip. The Zoners maintain their Freeport. Be warned also of the aliens that frequent the Omicrons.
Thralls and their masters alike are merciless in their hunting, and can also be known to interfere with mining operations, cargo haulers and warships alike. They do not negotiate. They kill without remorse. If they want something from you, it will be first demanded, and then taken by force. Thats if its an alien thrall. The other aliens are far worse, more aggressive, and never seem to make demands, only kill. Of course, the Omicrons can be a risky place to do business, but high risk means also high reward. And the reward comes in the form of plentiful valuable resources.
I hope this information helps you in future endeavours. There is one more thing I must query you about though. With the operation being a risky success, and the goods now having been moved on, What is it you need from us? Surely you did not organise the large scale extraction to simply feed us the profit? Is there an opportunity you seek to gain from us in future? Your response on this is most eagerly sought out.
