I would love it if you came in something smaller. The way I see it, it would be best if activity around these events escalates gradually over time. It could very well make sense that the Rogue are unsure how large this operation really is, in which case it might not make much sense sending in Destroyers right away. On a similar note, if the point of opposing the operation is to keep the Destroyer in there secret, would sending another Destroyer be the best way to do that?
I'm not a Rogue, but if I was I would likely focus my firepower against the DSE and ALG workhorses, not any potential security. If the security became a problem the first time around, then the next time priorities might change.
Barghests would make much sense for this first event, as they would be well-suited for destroying the ALG salvagers. I hope you will reconsider your ship-choice and leave your Destroyer for a later event.
