Arcelia here, and I am still alive and unharmed. It's a little miracle given what happened today.
Early today, I was scanning Gamma and was contacted about Khara Nomad Irras destroying Corsair ships near Skiros. I launched and we took out two of their large ships.
Inquiring about the contact, I heard rumors of massive Nomad presence and attacks against Zoner satelites and also Zoner ships near Freeports.
I gathered a small scout group, consisting of 3 Brotherhood vessels.
We spotted the first small group in Zeta, and they were not careful and stayed away but engaged us straight away once we closed in. We did not expect that this is just a little fighting group.
We soon found our group split and we lost two ships. I picked up the pods and joined an Order operatives wing that was passing. We took out a few before the Order wing was torn apart by superior numbers. I had to retreat to Freeport 11.
I launched again, 30 minutes later and went in again. Again my wing was destroyed by insane numbers. At the peak, we were shot at by 15 alien ships, mostly small ones. We bit out their bombers, but they damaged or destroyed all our big warships. The fighters were scattered and many did not make it back. I did.
After a short break, we scrambled a large number and attacked again. This time, we managed to clear Delta, Zeta and advanced till the heavily defended Iota hole.
The enemy was beaten back, in bloody, about 4h long fighting. Corsair warships were the backbone of this attack and Corsair Titans were proudly spearheading the strike.
The TBH managed to take out a number of enemies and assisted in countless others. I think I saw 20 Nomads explode, and likely the same number of allies.
I returned to Freeport 11, my Titan shot up badly but flying. It needs a thorough overhaul and the Zoners were very thankful hosts after we pushed the aliens frm their front door.
Seeing their numbers and their aggressivity, I am pretty sure we will not have seen then the last time.
