"Kill the beast while it's wounded!", definitely not my style. I haven't spent my life catching traders nobody else could catch, or fighting my way through waves of enemies nobody else could stand against before, so I could see what I've fought for break apart just like that. I have a mind of my own, so I do have personal opinions about the world and everyone in it, but I can't stand when those very opinions become the driving force of a conflict between two blood-related entities. I've only killed Outcasts before because opinions didn't start our relentless war.
Carlos Benitez, my eyes may be amongst the best and most suited of this side of the galaxy, but even then I can't see well enough to read your mind and decipher your intentions every time you speak. You've done either what you in your correct or incorrect thinking is best for your family, or represent your close relative's thoughts and feelings. I can't judge you for that, as that really is the purpose of your title. Personally, I do have an opinion about what happened months ago when our negotiations failed, but that has long been buried under new skin when the old one was too scarred and blood-ridden by conflicts, betrayal and conspiracies. Although I think something should someday be done to stop every single reason that prevents us from being not only one body, but one mind as well, today we stand spotlighting our obviously different minds when our turn arrives. If I could propose the perfect solution for our status, I would. Sadly, an imperfect being can't create perfect things. Your address to the other Elders regarding the incident was indeed decent, to my eyes. Not giving or taking away reason to and from all who contributed in reheating such a stale soup, I only say that you shouldn't mind what makes us different, but rather help to improve or create new things that help us become one, like Globalo and Laowai say. We will treasure those things deeply when the day comes that peace settles in on our home. That doesn't mean I will whole-heartedly accept every proposal of unity, but it does mean I will judge them to the best of my ability, and wisdom at that time.
Stop cutting each other bit by bit, 'cause when our chance comes to clean our race from whatever threatens it, we won't have enough blood to survive. Our blood, our land. Our brothers, and nation.
Think bigger. All I can say for now.
