I've been working on a ship model recently with milkshape3d the problem is that
as far as i know in the game the smooth shaded view will be shown. Any ideas how
to convert it to show the image i see on the flat shaded view as i see it in milkshape now? Other programs
can be mentioned too, but i would like to ask for a detailed explanation about solving the problem in those!

Thanks in advance, Silver.

I've found a solution to the problem, so in case someone will come across it in the future i'll leave some help here:

im pretty sure there is a method in ms3d, but since i never use that evil, vile, hateful and cursed program for anything except import export work (cuz i dont have an option for now) and stick to 3ds max, i dunno how it works. if you got 3ds, i could explain it there, cuz its pretty easy. in fact, im sure treewyrm wrote a short tutorial explaining the difference between soft and hard edges.

edit: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?s=...st&p=479659

thats treewyrm's post.
