I bet this appeared at least a few times on this forum already, but posting in dead topics is hardly usefull:

There's this system near Omicron Minor.
The Nav Map dies.
There's a giant donut.
And the exit is lost.

Any tips?

Yeah, there are two of those systems iirc... Just use FL datastorm or something to record the exact coords of jumpholes in that system and then have fun searching a bit ;-)

When you see the nomad lair (the giant donut) you can usually find an exit if you fly along the edge of the asteroids with the lair practically flat in your viewscreen. Stronger scanners are useful here.

It's official, I have too few ships now...

Yes, the Unknowns are a pig to fly. I try to avoid those two. The Donut is from SP, play the damn campaign to find it.

...I meant find out where it's from, not where it physically is.:P

I wish there were more systems like that with disabled navmap and more stuff from SP or like in SP ("indoor" systems).

Why? Oh god why? It just makes it annoying to navigate.

because, it would add flavor...
think it would be awesome with maybe a few more systems with one sided jumpholes and such (the one from sigma 13-chugoku)

also, why does the navmap fail?

i mean, your scanner is working, and its not like the maps are supposed to be outside content....
you need to scan stuff to have the map of them
