1) Faction name and tag.
The Corsair Benitez family. Members have the following format to their names;
Corsair-??????_Benitez
Capital ships, and shared accounts begin with "Benitez-"

Ships with names containing "Benitez" but which do not follow the above format may belong to members of the familia, but are not the responsibility of the Benitez organisation.

2) Brief faction description.

The Benitez are a Corsair faction that plays a significant role in the politics, defence and management of the Corsair nation. An adoptive crime-family, the Benitez are ruled by a "Don" normally descended from the original Benitez bloodline. Often concerned with special operations, smuggling, espionage and diplomacy, the Benitez have a smaller but no less significant role in the defence of Corsair territory and front-line warfare.

The Benitez are an ancient family that came to Sirius on the lost sleeper ship Hispania. Our goal is advancement the Corsair Civilisation, and to expand Corsair territory across Sirius. Our remit is piracy, and we tax the Omega systems. We are an integral part of the Gamma defence force, devoting our lives to the defence of our homeworld. We are an unlawful pirate clan, but for the most part we remain in the Edgeworlds. Our diplomatic relations reflect the reputation of the Corsairs with other NPC factions.
We poured private funding into the Tripoli project, to construct Battleships based on tech "borrowed" from our friends the Order, and are often the first to benefit from new Corsair innovations and technologies.

3a) (Optional) For whom is the faction joinable, if it is joinable. What are requirements for members (ID required, etc).

The Benitez family welcomes all who are Corsairs at heart. We require that you be literate, have an adequate mastery of the English language, can use a forum, and are willing to follow the code of honour. PVP skill, or RP experience is not a requirement. Members lacking experience must be willing to learn.

We are a family of Crete, descendants from the colonists on the Hispania. We are Corsairs, and we all carry Corsair tags.

Before you can become a Benitez you need to apply for adoption with the family on our private boards. Shiprestrictions are fairly easy, at the start you'll only be allowed to fly fighters.

hi there, ive just joined discovery 3 days ago, and im looking to join a corsair clan, i posted on the welcome page for new pep's and someone said that the Benitez Family is where i should put my loyalty.

im no stranger to Frerelancer, just Discovery, altho that was a while ago, i was a fair pilot then, but im alittle outa my depth there. Dam Navy and BH !!

but with the guildence from The Benitez Family im sure ill be a worthy pilot for your Ranks.
