Situation report.
At 2125 ZULU I attended the deployment of an additional battlegroup to the Leeds front, aboard my former command Colorado Springs. The vessels, totaling two Interdictor-class, six Defiant-class, and a host of attendant fighter craft will form the bulwark of our renewed tactical operations on this front. I expect those assigned in TacOps West to carry out their duties admirably, and offer the beleaguered Bretonians some much needed respite.
After attending to the fleet, I was contacted by a Commander Malachy Marshall of the Bretonian Armed Forces. Ex-Navy, if his service record is to be believed. Gallic forces had penetrated one of the cordons in Leeds, and a small force of Maltese were holding them back. Marshall aboard the lend-lease Interdictor Aegis and myself aboard the Defiant Colorado Springs drew up for a quick strike, the only craft ready.
The result was quick and brutal for the Gallics. We intercepted the Obstinate Lazurite in low Leeds orbit and quickly dispatched it. A second Obstinate, the Evangelique, found itself intercepted by the Colorado Springs and then summarily removed from the field. After our successful operation, we RTB'd to New London without incident.
My only wish is that I could remain on the Leeds front to continue such operations; but the fires in the east burn bright, and we must attend to them. TacOps East, prepare for further tasking. The iron is hot and time is of the essence.
In service to the Republic.
