Incoming Transmission Liberty Security Force
Tactical Operations
Agent 'Winter'
Field Report 03/28/827
At 2104 hours during our recon sweep of Honshu we intercepted a Coalition heavy tanker on its way towards Sigma-13. The ship was carrying full cargo hold of Platinum-198 Ore. Given the circumstances there was no option to confiscate the cargo or a way to force the captain to direct the ship towards Liberty for apprehension. Seeing that the transport vessel is not escorted and hostile to the Kusarian installations, Warden quickly came up with a plan for us to play along as would be escort. The captain seemed rather surprised, but quickly understood it wasn't a choice for him to make and played along. Warden took point and I stayed with the tanker to ensure that he won't turn back.
Our first stop was the Gas Miner installation Helgoland in Sigma-13 where the tanker docked and unloaded its cargo while we remained in space. We can't be sure if this was their original destination or if an attempt to throw us off from their true delivery endpoint. While the tanker was unloading onto the station, another Coalition heavy tanker was waiting near the station with an empty cargo hold. Its captain was just as uneasy about us escorting them but once his comrade undocked from the station they agreed to continue onwards. Strangely both their cargo holds were empty, perhaps because they were suspecting us to make a move at some point.
Our next waypoint was Frankfurt where we quickly found out that their ships were also marked as hostile by the Rheinland tradelane system. Without much issues we made our way to New Berlin where the two captains became more anxious, even if they attempted to hide it beneath some small talk regarding alcohol. Due to a lane malfunction I got split from Warden and the first tanker, but managed to convince the Coalition captain to halt their ship after jumping to Stuttgart. They shared more information regarding our next waypoint - Omega-7 and then Omega-2. Once Warden and the other tanker caught up we continued onward. The flight so far was suspiciously quiet until we made contact with a SCRA vessel of heavy fighter design on the last lane before the Omega-7 gate. Suspiciously the pilot did not try to hail nor intercept us or even disrupt the lane and all 4 of our ships arrived to Omega-7 without an effort.
At this point we were sure that the Coalition pilots were up to something, but decided to carry on and feign ignorance. I tried to get more information about what awaits in Omega-2 and the Coalition captain confessed that it is just a way to reach the Omega-47 system. The two captains attempted to use an explosive gas pocket field in Omega-7 to shake us off, but thanks to the array of shield batteries onboard we both managed to pass through it with relatively no damage to the hull structure of our fighters and reach Omega-2. We had no previous information on this system and the two captains again urged us to break off as this was hostile territory, but again we refused and decided to carry on. Unlike the explosive field of Omega-7, this new uncharted system's hazard was only a low level of radiation that pose no threat to a shielded ship. The transports led us on a direct path to the next jump hole, which left us little time to chart much of the system besides the direct path from the first jump hole to the next.
Once in Omega-47, the heavy tankers took course towards sector 23CD, at which point our scanners caught the signature of a Coalition carrier in the distance in a dozen or so K's distance of a big planet that had a hostile docking ring. A Hessian fighter undocked from the planet and locked on an intercept vector towards us. This forced us to disengage from our escort of the two tankers and attempt to shake off the incoming Red Hessian forces. The Coalition vessels used this opportunity to sharply change course towards the planet and carrier and escape. We took a wide arc turn through 34BC and then towards the big asteroid field ahead in hopes to shake off the chasing Red Hessians which at this point had became two, one of them being just a K out of my scanner range, but visible on Warden's scanners. While traversing the asteroid field, we managed to locate a jump hole in the 6C sector that luckily took us to the Exeter system.
The Red Hessians continued pursuit into Exeter, but at this point we were in a more familiar territory as the system was well enough explored by the Bretonians and we had information on possible points of escape. Dublin was chosen as most appropriate and in a rather close call where Warden was almost disrupted by the vanguard of the Red Hessian squadron behind us we managed to slip into Dublin where our pursuers finally broke off. I'm attaching what little nav-map data I have of Omega-47 along with the blackbox of our external audio communications.
[28.03.827 21:04:35] =LSF=Warden: Hello, captain.
[28.03.827 21:04:42] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Greetings.
[28.03.827 21:04:57] =LSF=Warden: What are you doing all the way out here?
[28.03.827 21:04:57] =LSF=Winter: Platinum ore. Interesting.
[28.03.827 21:05:20] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Shipping goods back to the outer rim people in the Omegas. Couple of Zoners and what not.
[28.03.827 21:05:33] =LSF=Warden: Interesting.
[28.03.827 21:05:43] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Interesting to see... LSF Officers out in Kusari too.
[28.03.827 21:05:53] =LSF=Warden: Happens.
[28.03.827 21:05:59] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Rarely.
[28.03.827 21:06:18] =LSF=Winter: Sometimes it's beneficial to be unexpected.
[28.03.827 21:06:29] =LSF=Warden: That is kinda our entire schtick.
[28.03.827 21:06:31] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Can we fly a lil further away?
[28.03.827 21:06:35] =LSF=Warden: Yes.
[28.03.827 21:06:37] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Thanks.
[28.03.827 21:06:45] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Lead the way.
[28.03.827 21:07:13] =LSF=Warden: I wanted to tell you to move anyway. Didn't seem like you were liked too much.
[28.03.827 21:07:13] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I think this is safe.
[28.03.827 21:07:21] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Gotcha.
[28.03.827 21:07:30] =LSF=Warden: So.
[28.03.827 21:07:33] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Well... Are you expecting anything else from me?
[28.03.827 21:07:37] =LSF=Warden: No escort at all, eh?
[28.03.827 21:07:39] =LSF=Winter: Seems like it isn't just in Liberty where the Coalition movement is outlawed.
[28.03.827 21:07:48] =LSF=Warden: That's good to know, though.
[28.03.827 21:08:06] =LSF=Warden: Surely Kusari would never let these people into Kusari or allow anthing further than that, even.
[28.03.827 21:08:07] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Well, we civilians are pretty much everywhere yeah.
[28.03.827 21:08:19] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Not realy tied to the Army.
[28.03.827 21:08:34] =LSF=Warden: Somehow, I entirely doubt that.
[28.03.827 21:08:39] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I guess not. But we need food to survive.
[28.03.827 21:08:48] =LSF=Winter: And Platinum it seems.
[28.03.827 21:08:56] =LSF=Warden: They don't feed you there?
[28.03.827 21:08:58] *VI|CPS-Kabul: That brings in food in exchange.
[28.03.827 21:09:07] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I mean, don't you work for your food?
[28.03.827 21:09:20] =LSF=Warden: I mean, that's [classified.]
[28.03.827 21:09:31] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I guess so. None of my bussines anyway.
[28.03.827 21:09:48] =LSF=Warden: You totally don't mind if we become your temporary escorts, right?
[28.03.827 21:09:59] =LSF=Warden: You know, prevent such an upstanding civilian from getting harmed.
[28.03.827 21:10:08] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Huh, that's a strange proposal but I guess.
[28.03.827 21:10:14] =LSF=Warden: Surely every outlaw in Kusari wants your head?
[28.03.827 21:10:15] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Why not. *Smiles weirdly*
[28.03.827 21:10:55] =LSF=Warden: So. Lead the way then, captain.
[28.03.827 21:10:57] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Feels a bit strange because I guess it's my first time I've seen any of you guys.
[28.03.827 21:11:00] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Well then.
[28.03.827 21:11:30] =LSF=Warden: You don't mind if one of us goes in front of you, right?
[28.03.827 21:11:36] =LSF=Warden: You know, scouting ahead and all that.
[28.03.827 21:11:43] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I see.
[28.03.827 21:11:45] =LSF=Winter: Though for that we'd need to know the end destination.
[28.03.827 21:12:17] =LSF=Warden: That is a valid point.
[28.03.827 21:12:20] =LSF=Warden: What is your final destination?
[28.03.827 21:12:29] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Hold on a second.
[28.03.827 21:12:46] *VI|CPS-Kabul: First stop is.
[28.03.827 21:12:52] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Ehm.
[28.03.827 21:12:58] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Helgoland.
[28.03.827 21:13:08] =LSF=Winter: Helgoland.
[28.03.827 21:13:18] =LSF=Warden: Huh. Never heard of that.
[28.03.827 21:13:25] =LSF=Winter: I know that one, Warden.
[28.03.827 21:13:27] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Just up ahead.
[28.03.827 21:13:41] =LSF=Winter: Should be a Gas Miner station.
[28.03.827 21:13:48] =LSF=Warden: Never really ventured out to Omegas personally.
[28.03.827 21:13:52] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Here it is.
[28.03.827 21:14:00] =LSF=Warden: Copy that.
[28.03.827 21:14:03] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Helgoland Station, requesting to dock.
[28.03.827 21:14:07] 827-03-28 21:14:12 SMT Traffic control alert: *VI|CPS-Kabul has requested to dock
[28.03.827 21:14:08] =LSF=Warden: Oh.
[28.03.827 21:14:09] =LSF=Winter: And there's another.
[28.03.827 21:14:14] =LSF=Warden: That is indeed another one.
[28.03.827 21:14:14] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Privyet
[28.03.827 21:14:22] =LSF=Winter: Same tanker model.
[28.03.827 21:14:28] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Give me one second forgot to grab a good.
[28.03.827 21:15:26] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Were you two escorting my comrades?
[28.03.827 21:15:31] *VI|CPS-Kabul: This might take a moment.
[28.03.827 21:15:41] =LSF=Warden: Yes, yes we were.
[28.03.827 21:15:52] =LSF=Winter: To make sure nothing shady happens with the cargo, of course.
[28.03.827 21:16:03] =LSF=Warden: And to ensure the safety of you, the civilian captains.
[28.03.827 21:16:16] =LSF=Warden: There he is.
[28.03.827 21:16:19] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Huh. There you are.
[28.03.827 21:16:19] =LSF=Warden: Splendid.
[28.03.827 21:16:25] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Come with us then to Frankfurt
[28.03.827 21:16:34] *VI|CPS-Kabul: ?: On your six.
[28.03.827 21:16:42] =LSF=Winter: I'll take point.
[28.03.827 21:18:17] =LSF=Winter: So it seems Rheinland doesn't take kindly to you either.
[28.03.827 21:18:19] =LSF=Warden: All good, captains?
[28.03.827 21:18:25] *VI|CPS-Kabul: For now. Da.
[28.03.827 21:19:12] =LSF=Warden: So far so good.
[28.03.827 21:19:13] *VI|CPS-Kabul: So...
[28.03.827 21:19:27] =LSF=Warden: Yes?
[28.03.827 21:19:51] *VI|CPS-Kabul: What about Vodka? *Smiles*
[28.03.827 21:19:55] =LSF=Warden: Ahem. I might have cut out.
[28.03.827 21:20:00] =LSF=Warden: I said, I like coffee.
[28.03.827 21:20:31] =LSF=Warden: To answer you, no.
[28.03.827 21:20:37] =LSF=Winter: It's bad to drink while on duty.
[28.03.827 21:20:37] =LSF=Warden: I do not like alcoholic beverages.
[28.03.827 21:20:41] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I see.
[28.03.827 21:21:31] =LSF=Warden: Correct.
[28.03.827 21:21:49] =LSF=Warden: Well, we import every alcoholic beverage.
[28.03.827 21:22:02] =LSF=Warden: So, we can easily get everything we'd like.
[28.03.827 21:22:19] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I bet. Easier access.
[28.03.827 21:22:45] =LSF=Warden: It is quite easy access, yeah.
[28.03.827 21:22:56] =LSF=Warden: Very convenient.
[28.03.827 21:23:42] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Chyort.
[28.03.827 21:23:46] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Those Lanes.
[28.03.827 21:23:51] =LSF=Warden: Unfortunate.
[28.03.827 21:23:54] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Not stable at all.
[28.03.827 21:23:55] =LSF=Warden: We have to keep moving though.
[28.03.827 21:24:03] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Did ageira ever think of fixing these?
[28.03.827 21:24:15] =LSF=Warden: Not sure.
[28.03.827 21:24:30] =LSF=Warden: I think they would have done it already if they planned it.
[28.03.827 21:24:36] =LSF=Winter: After the war between the republic and Rheinland there have been diplomatic issues so to say.
[28.03.827 21:24:39] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Oh damn it!
[28.03.827 21:25:17] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: I see..
[28.03.827 21:25:29] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Mind if i interject but i am taken a bit by this..unorthoxod relation
[28.03.827 21:25:50] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: We are heading to Omega-2, so Stuttgart to Omega-7 by the way.
[28.03.827 21:26:19] =LSF=Winter: Warden and your colleague are falling back. Let's wait for them here.
[28.03.827 21:26:27] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Very well.
[28.03.827 21:26:32] =LSF=Winter: So who do you trade with in Omega-2?
[28.03.827 21:26:41] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: So are you coalition sympathizers or do you genuinely want to escort us out?
[28.03.827 21:26:50] =LSF=Warden: We have stable trade.
[28.03.827 21:26:55] =LSF=Warden: Everything else is classified.
[28.03.827 21:27:14] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Got it.
[28.03.827 21:27:45] =LSF=Winter: Let's put it this way - our objective isn't the destruction of foreign commerce vessels at this point.
[28.03.827 21:27:47] =LSF=Warden: Civilian or not.
[28.03.827 21:27:57] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I see.
[28.03.827 21:28:40] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Oh? that's a twist , We are used how to Bretonian handle politics - Conquest and Destruction.
[28.03.827 21:28:40] =LSF=Winter: You didn't answer my question.
[28.03.827 21:28:52] =LSF=Winter: Contact.
[28.03.827 21:28:56] =LSF=Warden: Contact, indeed.
[28.03.827 21:29:31] =LSF=Winter: What's awaiting us all in Omega-2?
[28.03.827 21:30:05] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Nothing, we are used to using it as a buffer to get Omega-47. To dodge the main lanes controlled by Bretonia.
[28.03.827 21:30:11] =LSF=Warden: That was very unexpected.
[28.03.827 21:30:22] *VI|CPS-Kabul: From here on we don't use lanes.
[28.03.827 21:30:29] =LSF=Warden: Copy that.
[28.03.827 21:30:32] =LSF=Winter: Interesting. Very well then, lead the way.
[28.03.827 21:30:42] =LSF=Warden: Winter, keep your guard up.
[28.03.827 21:31:43] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: You are indeed flying into Hostile territory, you sure you wish to proceed?
[28.03.827 21:31:50] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: We are grateful enough.
[28.03.827 21:31:52] =LSF=Warden: Nothing we have not encountered yet.
[28.03.827 21:33:11] *VI|CPS-Kabul: The outer rim might be a little, unpleasent yeah.
[28.03.827 21:33:30] =LSF=Winter: There's something pretty in its wilderness though.
[28.03.827 21:33:30] =LSF=Warden: Is there anything we could perhaps dock and repair our vessels?
[28.03.827 21:33:42] =LSF=Warden: Anywhere, rather.
[28.03.827 21:33:48] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: *laughs* If we are being escorted this far they might as well join our republic and be our soldiers!
[28.03.827 21:33:49] *VI|CPS-Kabul: There is a Zoner Base in Omega-41.
[28.03.827 21:34:41] =LSF=Warden: We will have to decline your offer.
[28.03.827 21:34:51] =LSF=Winter: Indeed, we are loyal to the Republic.
[28.03.827 21:35:27] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Ah ! Que bien, yes our Socialist Republic - we are loyal to it too. But we are always open arms to any who wish
[28.03.827 21:35:45] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: But any who, that's only because we are surprised liberty pilots have flown into Hessian-Coalition space. Although again,
[28.03.827 21:35:59] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Honoured, but we cannot guarantee your protection from other forces if that makes sense. . .
[28.03.827 21:36:06] =LSF=Warden: Of course.
[28.03.827 21:36:08] =LSF=Winter: Understandable.
[28.03.827 21:36:14] =LSF=Warden: That's common logic.
[28.03.827 21:37:32] =LSF=Warden: We will have to take a small detour.
[28.03.827 21:37:33] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Lining up.
[28.03.827 21:37:40] *VI|CPS-Kabul: I see.
[28.03.827 21:37:41] =LSF=Warden: We have to visit the Freeport that is in this system.
[28.03.827 21:37:51] =LSF=Warden: All four of us seem kind of roughed up.
[28.03.827 21:38:01] =LSF=Winter: You know of a Freeport in this system, Warden?
[28.03.827 21:38:08] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: I assume then it's best we split up.
[28.03.827 21:38:15] =LSF=Warden: Negative.
[28.03.827 21:38:27] =LSF=Warden: I am not sure if there is a Freeport in this sytem.
[28.03.827 21:38:29] =LSF=Winter: There's no radiation in this system, I think we can push on.
[28.03.827 21:38:39] =LSF=Warden: But if there is, we have to visit it.
[28.03.827 21:38:45] *VI|CPS-Kabul: Well what do we do?
[28.03.827 21:38:53] =LSF=Winter: Carry on towards your next waypoint.
[28.03.827 21:39:03] =LSF=Warden: Yep.
[28.03.827 21:39:10] =LSF=Warden: Continue your path.
[28.03.827 21:39:47] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Alright, well
[28.03.827 21:39:53] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Our next location is up ahead
[28.03.827 21:40:00] =LSF=Warden: Copy that.
[28.03.827 21:40:16] =LSF=Warden: You seem very adamant about that.
[28.03.827 21:40:18] =LSF=Winter: Carrier on scanners.
[28.03.827 21:40:38] =LSF=Warden: Also two enemy vessels.
[28.03.827 21:40:46] *VI|CPS-Sovieta: ?: Alright let's dock here Comrade, it's best we get out this .
[28.03.827 21:40:50] [RHA]SOA-Raudur.Vindur: Wrong neighbourhood boys.
[28.03.827 21:41:06] =LSF=Warden: Uh.
[28.03.827 21:41:07] 827-03-28 21:41:11 SMT Traffic control alert: *VI|CPS-Kabul has requested to dock
[28.03.827 21:41:07] =LSF=Warden: Perhaps.
[28.03.827 21:44:04] =LSF=Warden: Silent, eh.
[28.03.827 21:44:08] =LSF=Winter: But persistant.
[28.03.827 21:44:19] =LSF=Winter: Jumphole ahead.
[28.03.827 21:44:23] =LSF=Warden: Got visual.
[28.03.827 21:45:12] =LSF=Winter: Admirable attempt.
[28.03.827 21:46:48] =LSF=Winter: It does make you wonder if those Coalition led us into him.
[28.03.827 21:46:57] =LSF=Warden: Possibly.
[28.03.827 21:47:01] =LSF=Warden: Or perhaps just luck.
[28.03.827 21:47:13] =LSF=Winter: I think we're lucky the Carrier didn't dispatch interceptors.
[28.03.827 21:47:23] =LSF=Warden: That would've been it for us two, I think.
[28.03.827 21:48:07] =LSF=Winter: Maybe for next recon op we should requisition a Grizzly?
