' Wrote:About the only time they ARENT used is when some people train.
Nobody can "order'' you not to use b/b during training. It's up to the guys who are training to decide, will they use b/b during training season or not.
I reckon it's more realistic if they do use them. Otherwise yes, you can use anything that fits on your ship during the fight.( Mines, TCDs, b/b, etc.)
There would be a realy long rules section if it contained everything you -can- do am I right? Also don't belive anyone if they tell you that you can't shoot them in the Freeport No Fire Zone. :)
* Bots/Bats capacity is a part of a ship uniq trait. Some has more, some has less. For example. Gladiator having 9200 armor has 55b/b while black dragon is 9000 armor but has 60/60 b/b's
* Fights are more orantied on skill than luck. Unlucky mistakes does less damage. So it's abit more objective.
* Gives an option to more pvp tactics, or team work which comes mostly around instakilling (double razor from two ships in a one shot, hard to do, yet works sometimes, requires a lot of coordination).
* Gives one more tactic which is first time ever worth the time. To rip of equipment or part of the ships. For example in huge firefests lets say 7vs7 (if server does not crash of course... do the recent stuff) people will msot likely share the bots. What you would want to do is to neutralise your opponent even if he's not dead whiel taking out truster or wings on which guns are mounted.
* Choosing the weakest opponent who is tend to take hits
Disadvatage:
* Fights are longer. But I don't really see this as disadvatage. Sometimes I really enjoy long battles.

Also, what Evangelist said. Some rules are only rp ones, which will have rp consequences to your character. For example you pew pew freeport, and TAZ FR5 you. That means they tweak your npc reputation to zoners as hostile. Yet you won't face any account bans, sanctions and such.
And server rules for those who actually harm the fair gameplay. Which are enforced by sanctions like bans, fines, imprisoments of characters in jail systems and such.
