I've noticed that Light Trebuchets/Trebuchets have about 600 m less range than their Mortar counterparts. They do a little more damage but with worse energy efficiency. Does the range-difference really have to be that significant, and if so, why?

Well.. I'm the one who says that cruissers should be able to reach battleship, and battleship at same range shouldn't be able to do a thing against the cruisser who keeps borbarding battleship from long range.

Anyhow, that longer mortar range, doesn't do much, since cruisser with light mortar can easily dodge those. While battleship can hradly dodge light mortars (if it's heavy bs)

Also it's a bit silly to comapre energy efficiency of cruisser mortar and bs mortar. Than can only be done by calucalting procentage of regeration ratio and power core capacity

Yes, but what about a battleship versus battleship situation? And why is the range of Heavy Trebuchets and Heavy mortars the same?

I would not worry until 4.86 as a Gallic BS will never meet a Sirius BS in combat until then.(or shouldn't"looks around for lolwuts")

It's an oversight, thanks for spotting.
Only heavy trebuchet had proper range.

At least it's only a 600m range difference right now.

If I might bring up another 'oversight' - Nomad cruisers are unable to use 'human' weapons, which means no mortars, no razors, nothing except our own cruiser turrets, which have something like 1500m range - meaning they are out-ranged by every other cruiser and battleship in the game.

Perhaps that should be remedied as well, eh?

The most damage done by similiar size and weight ships are by primaries which for nomades are more than 2x more damaging and 2x more power efficient. In this keepers get the biggest slice of cake. Unless you want to nerf them to human like turrets, then I can agree with mortar type turrets and such.

If you'r not skilled enought to make use of your advatages I think nothing will help.
