"It has been too long... too long that I started to write in this memoirs of mine."
The bright Manhattan sun lights up the quarters of a certain Liberty Navy officer. Clearly the room was a smaller one compared to the previous rooms he had slept in. There was an awkward silence for awhile as he looked out the window, which was the only thing separating him from the ship and certain death in space, not that he was in any danger. A voice suddenly fills the room.
"Sir, come to the communications center, we're reading her transponder signal again."
Without thinking, the officer quickly takes his datapad and begins to head off to his destination. Hopefully we can crack the code on this one Usually it took about five minutes for him to get to the comm center, but in this case the ship was smaller than what it used to be. Just before reaching the sliding door of the C.C, a Lieutenant came out of the center. It was his XO onboard the ship.
"Sir! *giving a quick salute* We're sure its her again. And this time the signal's closer than expected."
With a quick nod to acknowledge the XO's statement, he then proceeds inside.
