Last days i was mostly in new york, and saw lots of players lvl 5. I spoke to a few of them, and they didnt know the /restart command.

So if we would add such an item, it could be helpful. Name that item: "Coupon for a better upset" or so.

It would make the /restart command more popular.

Damn good idea. We should do the same with the server rules. That should cut down on the number of violation reports filed.

Oh wait a moment...

What Vlko said, they need to get used to the forums and Wiki before they head out... If they're too lazy, well that's their problem.

Bad idea. Would bring even more lolwutters into Alpha and Gamma -___-'

As an Angel, I don't recommend new players use the /restart command. The time spent in a Starflier, and Rhino, working to progress to the level given freely by the /restart command is essential for the development of new players, giving them a broader range of experiences and enough time to get to grips with the rules, conventions, and how to RP before they are thrust into the world outside of Pennsylvania.
If they don't know about /restart, they're new. If they're new, they need the experience that is denied by /restart.

No thankyou.

Meh.

I know that many people dont read it, but some may be intelligent newbies. They exist here, i am sure.

Forum and wiki is good and fine, but minimum 50 % of all newbies didnt go to the forum before playing on the server.

We all know that, and maybe the 3 starting items were added for that reason.
We have the history, the rules and a Welcome. That nice and polite.

So why dont add a hint to the server command. Maybe add it to the welcome-item. It could save lots of hours for a new payer.

I sounds like a good idea, but I just don't think it would work. Because most people just want to jump into the game when they start, even if they do read the cargo hold papers. I mainly know this because I didn't actually go to the forums when I was a newbie until I got kicked 6 times within 5 minutes by Agmen:unsure:. But I have to agree with Carlos because if I didn't do all that power mining then I wouldn't have learned how all the new features worked.

No need for the sarcasm.

My opinion is that it's a good idea, but It would be a big step for the little newbie to take his first steps onto the forums and find out. The same way little newbie should also read the rules, and have a browse through the topics after his/her first tryout in game.

I would have also said something similar to this.

Starting in a 'flea and working up is a (nessercary?) learning curve.

It would be good. More people outside penny. But It would be better if we made system like a penny in each house(of course not in corsairs and outcast)

Hopefully if more people knew about the restart command then it would bring more players out of Liberty and into the other houses that are so desperate for a more active population?
