You can use some combinations if it makes sense. For instance, a few BHG ID characters as guards for an Interspace ID cargo ship, flying the same group flag makes sense (couple of bounty hunters mercs paid to guard traders). That way you combine the high cargo allowance of Interspace with the weapon systems, up to gunboat, of BH's. But as said below...

*cough[A_C]cough*
Things -not- to do would be to have conflicting ID's inside one group. A BMM miner side by side with an IMG one for instance. Or a Corsair and Outcast flying for the same pirating band. It's just not done.

The BHG| actually has their own shipping (and manufacturing) line - AP Manufacturing (ships that utilize the APM tag, with either Bounty Hunter or Interspace ID and IFF. (We had an agreement a while back regarding basing rights.) We also have our own mining ship(s) for use out in Delta.
Having a regular Bounty Hunter ID acting as an escort for traders or miners shouldn't cause a problem. There should be no reason for you to have Core ID on your ships unless you're working in Delta - we've issued orders for all caps to stay completely out of Omega 3 and 7, or from sneaking their way into such places as Kansas. (That's an actual, in-RP order that as the official faction, we have the right and authority to give.) You can't operate in Dublin, but you could up in the Taus.

If you have an idea that would force you to go beyond your ID or tech chart options for RP reasons? Forget about it-- originality is for official factions only.
You can do what you want, but if theres an offical faction for your ID and they dont like it, you either do what they say or suddenly your bases start shooting at you.
Not true. Outcasts tried and failed at that.
As long as you don't go shooting others with the same NPC ID, pirating/shooting CANNON allies with out a some what decent reason, and follow a sensible ZoI, and the rules then you can pretty much do whatever you want.
Also when your un-official faction is more active than the official faction by a noticeable margin that helps too:P

This is not really true, you can make it with unofficial facton too. West Rheinland Fleet, unofficial Military team can use buckshots example - with permission from BHG| of course - on their wraiths. Not possible in basic if you see the tech chart...
Unofficial factions can do whatever they damn well please- rules-wise, you're a bunch of indies. RP-wise, though, you will usually be treated like a group, in the same manner that an official faction would- meaning that players will often reflect the behavior of one onto the rest. As far as rules go, though, you have no rights, responsibilities, or limitations that separate you from a collection of non-affiliated indies. Technically speaking, you could have an unofficial faction that included Outcasts, Corsairs, GRN, etc... but chances are that in that case, you would very quickly become the laughingstock of the server and possibly subject to multiple invocations of Faction Right 5 (the one where they can paint your rep with their NPC faction blood red), even if you hadn't actually broken any rules. (Such as members fighting side by side, in this example.)

Actually I want the core ID since I want the faction to have bigger BHG ships at it's disposal, as well for a... sort of "flagship". I intend to keep it in the Omicrons, particularry Theta.
