Emm so I red somewhere that in .86 is only one official faction per ID. Alright I understand why, it's logical for variuos of reasons. But what awaits for npc factions which already has multiple official factions like corsairs?
We have 3 diffrent factions to represent diffrent layers of corsair socium. All differs with their approuch to roleplay and behaviuor. Trinity of the corsair factions is quite an old tradition as well. So what is going to happen?
Are this factions be forced to merge (Npc faction is led by CCoE anyway, council of diffrent faction members and indies) and keep diffrent branches? Select one official faction of the 3? Or all 3 will be left alone out of this rule as long as they keep their officiality they worked for and keep the tradition?
Or did I miss some kind of important piece of information? then please enlight me.
Or if you'd actually read the rules section regarding factions, posted here.
Seriously - does anyone ever read the rules anymore before they post on here? :rtfm:
Athenian Wrote:Effectively immediately, applications to become an official faction will be limited to one player faction per NPC faction and thus there will be only one official player faction per ID.
Official player factions must act in a manner that complies with the NPC faction.
Other player factions applying for official status may use a generic ID.
This applies to all new applications. Existing player factions are not affected by this change.

As an official faction? They wont. Either they need to join up with one of the existing official factions, or they can make an unofficial smuggling group.
