I have finally reached Mactan. It's been a long journey, with highs, and lows. My story isn't that of a common Lane Hacker, mostly because I have never worked for Ageira. My father did, or so I am led to believe. To be honest, I don't really know who I am anymore. I will try to keep it brief:
I was born and raised by my father on Planet Pittsburg. He was a talented man, and I have never really understood why we had such a miserable life and why he worked as a miner. I suppose everything happens for a reason. We were poor, but somewhat happy. All changed with my father's death. All he had left behind was enough money for me to buy a Camara and start building a career of my own.
To say the least, things didn't go as planned. I soon found out that I was on the Navy's most wanted list, since apparently the Camara I was flying belonged to an infamous smuggler. Needless to say, I was shot down. With all my dreams shattered, I sought revenge, only to be shot down once more and captured.
But things were different this time: I had "friends". The so-called Hellfire Legion set me free and offered me a position among their ranks. I took it and didn't look back: I thought it was what I wanted. But it was not.
I spent quite some times with the Legion, most of the time training: I learned all the ins and outs of computer programming and hacking, as well all the skills necessary to become a true Legionnaire. It was harsh, but at least I had a goal. This until I found out part of the truth about my past.
By hacking one of the Navy's terminals I discovered why I was really hunted down. Apparently, my father was well more than a miner. He was an Ageira employee, a good one too. That until he got involved into some shaddy deals, was sued, deprived of all his wealth and fired. Apparently, he didn't quite leave empty-handed. He took something with him, something that could endanger Ageira. It is the reasons he was murdered and the reason the same almost happen to me.
It was clear that my place in the Legion had no reason to exist, since I knew who my true enemies were. Surprisingly, I was allowed to depart, even if I left all my holdings behind. Was given a very old civilian ship, and that is where my journey towards Mactan began.
My first objective was to find out further information about my father's case. I thought that Detroit Munitions would be an easy target, but I had no docking rights. Well, with money, you can buy many things, and the Junkers on Rochester had exactly what I needed. I did reach Detroit, however, I was dissapointed to find out that all access to my father's files had been blocked. I was sure the Lane Hackers could help me.
After securing docking rights on Buffalo, I bought and equipped a Dagger with whatever I had left. On my journey to Mactan, I was lucky enough to encounter two poorly protected traders. Got some credits and some cargo, enough to properly outfit my Dagger. I am currently on Mactan, all set and awaiting further instructions.
