Subject: Molly trouble.
Right, I suppose this was coming...
Jack, when you joined us I believe I did tell you not to try to start too much trouble with the Mollies. I also told you the Mollies tax per cargo - so if you're using a drone to fill up transports, I suspect the tax goes to the transports instead. In addition, while Mollies might look favorable on us independant miners, the same cannot be said from several trade companies, most of which supplied BMM in the past. A certain amount of animosity still exists between them.
So let me try to reiterate what happened according to your own words, and correct me if I am wrong.
- Your drone was mining ore, presumably leaving it in space to be gathered by the transports.
- The transports were standing by, empty.
- The Molly came along and demanded the mining taxation for the transport vessels as it was clear that they'd be soon serviced by the drone.
- The transport vessels refused and your drone engaged the molly in defense - losing it's harvested gold in the process.
- You now complain that this happened.
If this situation is accurate the blame lays solely on the transport captains who were in fact subject to the taxation (again, one million isn't that much considering the total value of a full ore cargo). What happens to the ore after it leaves the Guild is not our concern - if the transports move without escort then yea, the chances of them reaching their destination unharmed are slim. My suggestion is to program your drone with a scouting routine to have it scout ahead of the transports to ensure the ore reaches it's destination, if you wish to offer that extra service.
I will monitor this channel for the Molly response. Again, correct me if my above assessment is incorrect.
Regards,
- Johnathan Sanders
